When did Space Marine 2 release?
The general release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was September 9, 2024. Gold and Ultra edition owners could begin playing early on September 5, 2024, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, according to Focus Entertainment’s launch announcement.
The game launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, as reported by Warhammer Community on September 4, 2024.
What was the preload schedule?
Saber Interactive’s official FAQ gave the following launch-period schedule. These dates have passed and cannot be used to start a new preload.

Preload and early access were different
Preloading meant downloading the game before it could be played; early access determined when an eligible edition could be launched. The official schedule listed no PC preload, while Focus confirmed that Gold and Ultra owners on PC received early access. Having early access did not mean a PC player could preload the game.
What was the release time?
Saber’s FAQ included a release-time question, but its answer relied on a graphic whose regional times are not present in the page’s text. An exact worldwide time or local time-zone conversion cannot be confirmed from that text, so a precise release-time table would be unreliable.

How much storage does Space Marine 2 need?
Saber Interactive’s PC system requirements specify 75 GB of available space and require an SSD. The page does not date that requirement. Treat 75 GB as the stated PC storage requirement—not as a verified download size, a measured final install size, or a console requirement.
No authoritative PS5 or Xbox install-size figure is established here. Console storage needs should not be inferred from the PC requirement; check the live platform listing or the installed game’s current storage details for the relevant platform and version.

Which editions and preorder options were offered?
During the 2024 preorder period, Focus Entertainment said the game was available to preorder digitally and at retail across PS5, Xbox Series, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The listed editions were Standard, Gold, Ultra, and Collector’s Edition; the Collector’s Edition was exclusive to the Focus Store. Those launch-period offers are documented in Focus Entertainment’s June 7, 2024 announcement.
Those were historical preorder channels, not confirmation of current stock, prices, or edition availability. Check the selected platform’s live store or a retailer’s current listing before buying. Saber’s FAQ also pointed readers to the Focus Entertainment Store for preorders.
