Neither Star Wars Jedi Part 3 nor the Knights of the Old Republic remake has a confirmed release date. A leaker has reportedly placed the next Jedi game in 2027 and the KOTOR remake in late 2027 or early 2028, but those are unverified estimates. KOTOR’s developer has confirmed that the remake was still in development in March 2026; that statement did not give a launch window.
What are the rumored release dates?
In a report published October 5, 2026, Wccftech attributed the timing claims to leaker FivesWalker. The report says the leaker expects Star Wars Jedi Part 3 in 2027 and the KOTOR remake in late 2027 or early 2028. These are leak-based estimates, not announced schedules. Wccftech’s report also says FivesWalker expects an announcement for the next Jedi game in 2026; no official reveal schedule is established by the available information.

| Star Wars Jedi Part 3 | FivesWalker reportedly expects a 2027 release, with a possible 2026 announcement, according to Wccftech’s October 5, 2026 report. | No official release date, reveal schedule, or platform list is established. |
| Knights of the Old Republic remake | FivesWalker reportedly estimates late 2027 or early 2028, according to the same report. | Saber said in March 2026 that the remake was still in development. No official release window is established. |
Is the KOTOR remake actually still happening?
The strongest confirmed update is about development, not timing. Saber Interactive chief creative officer Tim Willits told IGN in March 2026, “Yes, it is still in development,” adding, “That’s all I can say.” GamesRadar+ reported the remarks. They confirm the project was still in development at that time, but do not establish a release date or guarantee when it will ship.
What did Saber say about 2028?
In July 2026, Saber chief business officer Steve Allison mentioned the KOTOR remake as something “hopefully” included in a 2028 lineup. Allison wrote: “We are preparing to do more self publishing and I’m here to organize the group in preparation of the lineup for 2028 … that includes Space Marine, [John] Wick, hopefully [the] KOTOR remake and a few unannounced titles.” PC Gamer confirmed with Saber that the message was genuine, but Saber clarified it was not an official statement about release targets. - This renewed game may come repackaged in a generic case. It has been cleaned, tested, and shows minimal wear.
That comment is more direct than a leak, but it still does not amount to a promised 2028 launch: “hopefully” is tentative, and Saber explicitly disclaimed it as an official target. It should not be treated as confirmation of the late-2027 or early-2028 estimate.
How to read the 2027–28 claims
- For the Jedi sequel: the 2027 date and possible 2026 announcement come from a leaker as reported by Wccftech. No official timing is established.
- For the KOTOR remake: the late-2027/early-2028 estimate is also attributed to that leaker. Separately, Saber confirmed the project was still in development in March 2026, while its executive’s 2028 remark was expressly not an official release target.
- For both games: do not read a reported year as a confirmed launch date. The sources do not establish exact dates, platforms, or a release window for either game.
