Updated October 8, 2026: Stardew Valley version 1.6.15 was announced for PC/Mac and mobile on December 20, 2024. It was a maintenance and balance update, not a major content expansion. The original announcement said console updates would follow; consoles later received version 1.6.15.1.
What changed in Stardew Valley 1.6.15?
ConcernedApe’s Steam announcement on December 20, 2024 said, “The 1.6.15 patch is now available.” The notes describe a mix of balance changes, quality-of-life work, performance optimizations and fixes rather than a new content release. Read the official 1.6.15 patch notes.

Legendary fish ponds produce roe more often
The patch increased how often legendary fish ponds produce roe and raised their average daily value. The notes give no exact production rate or measured value, so the change is best understood as a general improvement rather than a guaranteed daily yield.
A Junimo bundle button was added to fridges
A new Junimo bundle button appears in fridge and mini-fridge interfaces, making it easier to interact with bundles using stored items.

Performance and gameplay fixes
The notes list performance optimizations but do not provide benchmark figures or specify how much performance changed. Other fixes covered several gameplay and save-related issues, including:
- Debris spreading beneath giant crops.
- A Japanese-language issue that prevented access to Krobus’ shop on Fridays.
- Achievement unlocks and randomness.
- A rare issue that could corrupt data in a new save.
- Retrieving older items from the lost-and-found.
Crash fixes and text filtering
The update addressed crashes involving empty crab pots, farm animals appearing in multiple locations and sound effects. It also corrected bad-word filtering for extra text boxes introduced in version 1.6. The notes specify that filtering remains only on platforms that require it.

Which platforms received the update?
The original release announcement covered PC/Mac and mobile, and said console updates would follow. That wording describes the scope of the December 2024 announcement; it does not establish that every platform received an update at the same time. The official forum announcement identifies the initial platforms.
Mobile platform histories describe the latest Android and iOS versions as equivalent to PC 1.6.15, with multiplayer support described as experimental. Because mobile rollout dates and builds are tracked separately, equivalence should not be read as proof of a simultaneous release.
