Which Stardew Valley cheat commands are you looking for?
“Stardew Valley cheat codes” can refer to several different things. Ordinary gameplay features are not the same as commands entered through modding or debug tools. The Stardew Valley Wiki’s Modding:Console commands page documents SMAPI console commands, including commands supplied by mods. Separately, the game’s 1.6 migration documentation describes a toggle for entering debug commands in in-game chat.

Neither route should be assumed to work identically across platforms or game versions. The cited command references cover SMAPI and debug tooling, not a platform-wide set of shortcuts.
How to use SMAPI commands
- Open the SMAPI console. These examples assume Stardew Valley is being run with SMAPI and that you are entering commands in its console, not in ordinary in-game chat.
- Check what is available. Enter
helpin the SMAPI console to list available commands, including commands added by mods. - Look up the exact syntax. Commands take different arguments. The current SMAPI console command reference documents forms of
player_addfor item names and item IDs, as well as debug examples such asitemandfuzzyItemNamed. Do not treat them as interchangeable generic codes or paste them into chat unless that command’s instructions say to.
How to find an item ID and spawn an item
For item spawning, the command reference documents player_add with an item name and optional count or quality, and a form that uses an item ID. Check the reference for the exact arguments for the form you intend to use.

Item IDs may be unqualified strings or qualified IDs that include an item type. The item documentation gives (O)128 as an example of a qualified ID and explains that an unqualified ID may not be unique across item types. With SMAPI, list_items can search for item IDs. Debug commands and the 1.6 toggle
The 1.6 migration page lists toggleCheats as a way to enable or disable entering debug commands in in-game chat; those commands are prefixed with /. This describes a debug-command feature, not a promise that every player has it enabled or can use it on every platform. For its context and version-specific changes, consult the 1.6 migration documentation.
Older online command lists may not match current behavior. A discussion on the wiki records substantial changes in version 1.6, including commands moved to a separate script and some altered or removed; treat that as historical context, not a current command inventory. Use the current command reference for SMAPI syntax.

The Stardew Valley Wiki’s Modding:Console commands page warns: “They can have permanent side-effects on your save data, break your save, or have other unintended effects.” A command that appears useful can have consequences beyond the immediate change, so protect a save you value before trying unfamiliar commands.
