A new beginning, not a remake
Fulton has described the game as a reboot and “new beginning,” rather than a remake or a direct sequel. It is presented as an open-world action RPG in Albion, with NPC routines and reactions and choices that have consequences. Those are announced design details; they do not establish a specific release date or additional platform availability.

A Vandal report published January 31, 2025 and updated March 12, 2025 attributed possible PS5 and Switch 2 adaptations to unnamed sources. Its language about Fable was tentative, saying work on an adaptation might have begun and a simultaneous release was possible. That report is historical rumor, not confirmation of those details.
