Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The roster and resource lists below come from the unofficial INARA database, so confirm details in Starfield’s Starmap and planetary scanner before landing or planning an outpost.
Narion at a glance
- System roster: INARA lists seven planets and eight moons and identifies Narion with the Freestar Collective. Its star catalogue ID is Gl 702A. These are third-party database details, not an official Bethesda roster. INARA’s Narion entry cautions that its information may not be entirely accurate.
- Recommended level: Third-party listings conflict. INARA lists level 1, while StarfieldDB lists 5.0. Check the level shown in your in-game System View rather than treating either database value as definitive. INARA; StarfieldDB.
- Faction presence: StarfieldDB lists Argos Extractors, Crimson Fleet, Freestar Collective, and United Colonies in the system. A list of presences is not necessarily the same as the faction-control information shown on the Starmap.
- Named locations: INARA lists 1-Of-A-Kind Salvage, Argos Extractors Mining Outpost, Scrapyard, Kreet Research Lab, Military Outpost, Stroud-Eklund Staryard, and The Clinic among Narion’s settlements and outposts.
Planets, moons, and listed resources
The following roster summarizes INARA’s Narion entry, with some cross-checking against StarfieldDB. It is useful for choosing what to scan, not a guarantee that every resource boundary or landing region will match a static map. Bethesda says planetary resource distribution and NPC outposts are procedurally generated to some degree. Bethesda Support: How are planetary resources distributed?

Which Narion bodies are useful for common goals?
For a cluster of outpost materials: Andraphon
Andraphon’s listed aluminum, helium-3, iron, beryllium, and europium make it a practical candidate when you want to inspect several resource options in one stop. Scan the landing region you intend to use: the database list does not guarantee that every material occurs together at a specific surface location.

- Pilot and command the ship of your dreams.
For a broad survey: Kreet
Kreet’s listed mix includes eight inorganic resources as well as fiber, nutrient, and antimicrobial. It is also a named exploration destination because of the Kreet Research Lab. The presence of listed fauna and flora makes it relevant to players pursuing biological survey data, too.
For specific resource targets
- For uranium and iridium together, compare Danra and Grimsey; Grimsey is also listed with vanadium and plutonium.
- For aluminum and helium-3, INARA lists both on Andraphon, Danra, Gryphus, Magreth, and Hyperia.
- For water alongside other listed resources, consider Niira, Kreet, Dalvik, Vectera, or Cruth, then confirm the actual landing-region scan.
- For orbital destinations rather than a surface resource stop, The Clinic is listed in orbit around Deepala and Stroud-Eklund Staryard is among Narion’s named locations.
How to survey Narion and choose a landing site
- Open the Starmap’s System View. Review the system layout, recommended level, faction-control information, and points of interest. Bethesda describes the Starmap as having multiple views. Bethesda Support: Starmap – Starfield.
- Use Planet View when orbiting a body. Inspect environment information, scan for resources, and review landing sites before choosing where to touch down. The game’s views are the authoritative check for your current playthrough.
- Use scanning skills to reduce unnecessary travel. Bethesda’s Science skill listing says Scanning ranks improve detection of inorganic resource rarity. Astrophysics rank 1 permits scanning moons of the current planet; rank 2 permits scanning any planet or moon in the system; ranks 3 and 4 extend range to 16 and 30 light-years. Bethesda: Starfield skills.
- Scan for traits if that is part of your survey. Astrophysics ranks 1–4 provide stated trait-discovery chances of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 50% while scanning, according to Bethesda’s skill listing.
- Inspect the actual region before building. Surface resources can vary, including on the same planet. A static map or video can point you toward a candidate region, but it cannot guarantee an exact boundary or resource overlap in your game.
- Check gravity and environmental limits before landing. Bethesda notes that gravity affects movement and exploration and can be checked during the initial survey or on the Constellation watch. Planetary Habitation requirements listed by Bethesda are Rank 1 for extreme temperatures, Rank 2 for extreme pressure, and Rank 3 for toxic or corrosive atmospheres. Bethesda: Starfield skills; Bethesda Support: How do I check the gravity on a planet?.
Why fixed Narion resource coordinates are unreliable
Resource lists identify what a body may contain; they do not establish a universal surface coordinate where resources meet. Bethesda’s explanation says both planetary resource distribution and NPC outposts are procedurally generated to some degree. Treat any guide map as a starting point, then scan the planet and candidate landing region in your own game before laying out an outpost.
