Steal a Brainrot set a new peak for a Roblox-made game: Guinness World Records lists 25,868,678 concurrent players on October 11, 2025. Roblox had already said the game passed 25 million concurrent users in September, but that earlier milestone and Guinness’s later, exact record are separate claims.
How many people played Steal a Brainrot at once?
The exact figure listed by Guinness World Records is 25,868,678 concurrent players, achieved on October 11, 2025. “Concurrent” means they were playing at the same time; it does not mean 25.9 million total accounts, visits, or daily players.
Roblox’s December 16, 2025 year-end recap separately says Steal a Brainrot exceeded 25 million concurrent users in September. That is a rounded milestone, not the dated exact figure in Guinness’s record listing.
What record did Steal a Brainrot break?
The Guinness category is specifically “Most concurrent players for a videogame made in Roblox.” It is a record for a Roblox-made game, not an uncaveated record for the most-played videogame across every platform.

What is Steal a Brainrot?
Guinness describes Steal a Brainrot as a base-defence and tycoon-style experience. Players collect meme-based Brainrot characters and defend them. Its record is a measure of how many people were in the game together at a peak, rather than a count of how many have ever tried it.

How does the game’s record compare with Roblox’s platform count?
Roblox reported that its whole platform reached 45 million concurrent users on one Saturday morning in August 2025. That platform-wide figure includes users across Roblox experiences; it is not the count for Steal a Brainrot alone.
The scale of those peaks is also an infrastructure challenge. In June 2025, Roblox engineering said its systems had exceeded 30 million concurrent users platform-wide and discussed capacity planning for rapidly changing peaks. That provides platform context, but it does not establish why Steal a Brainrot became popular.

Why the dates and scopes matter
The headline numbers describe different things: Roblox’s recap gives a September milestone rounded to “over 25 million,” while Guinness lists an exact record achieved on October 11. The distinction avoids treating a company’s earlier milestone and a later record entry as though they were the same measurement.
The category matters just as much. Guinness’s wording limits the claim to a videogame made in Roblox, and Roblox’s 45 million figure applies to the platform as a whole. These are not interchangeable records.
