It is an October seasonal sale—not evidence of a Steam Black Friday event—and Steam’s announcement does not name individual deals or prices. Check the live store listings for current offers before deciding what to buy.
When does the Steam Autumn Sale end?
Steam’s official October 1, 2026 announcement says the Autumn Sale runs through October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific. That is 1 p.m. Eastern and 5 p.m. UTC on October 8. The stated end time has passed, so the sale should no longer be treated as active; check Steam for current promotions.
Are these Steam Black Friday deals?
No. “Black Friday” in this article title is a shopping-season framing, not the name or timing of this October event. The available official announcement identifies it as the Steam Autumn Sale and does not establish a separate Steam Black Friday sale or its date.
Which games have the best deals?
Steam described discounts on games throughout the store, spanning categories such as major franchises, large adventures, cozy-shop games, deckbuilders, and story-rich titles. That broad description does not identify specific discounted games, prices, or discount percentages. There is no substantiated best-deal list here, so check each game’s current regional Steam listing rather than relying on an assumed price or discount.

What else is part of the event?
Steam’s announcement also says players can earn stickers by going through the Discovery Queue during the sale. This is an event feature, not a game discount.
Can you use a Steam gift card during a sale?
Yes. Steam says its physical and digital gift cards can be redeemed to an account and used for games and other Steam purchases. See Steam’s gift-card page for its current details. If buying a physical card as a gift, confirm the retailer, seller, region, and denomination before purchase.
