What the specs mean for choosing a model
- Choose 512GB if that capacity suits your library and you do not need the 1TB model’s etched-glass display or case with removable liner.
- Choose 1TB if you want more built-in SSD space, premium anti-glare etched glass, the removable case liner and the listed digital personalization extras.
- Consider microSD expansion if you want additional storage; Valve lists a high-speed card slot, but a card is not included in the listed specifications.
- Consider the Docking Station if you want to connect a monitor, wired network or USB peripherals. It is an optional accessory, not necessary for handheld play.
- Plan around variable battery life. Valve’s 3–12-hour estimate varies with content, so it is not a guaranteed runtime for a particular game.
