The Steam Summer Sale 2024 ran from June 27 through July 11 and has ended. Valve said thousands of games were discounted, but the available event announcement does not show that nearly every Steam game or DLC was on sale. The promotion also included a temporary 15% discount on Steam Deck LCD models.
When did the Steam Summer Sale 2024 end?
The sale began June 27, 2024, and ended July 11. Bohemia Interactive listed the start and end times as 10:00 AM Pacific on both dates; Valve’s announcement confirmed the July 11 end date. Valve’s June 27 announcement and Bohemia Interactive’s event post document the schedule. This is archived coverage, not a live-deals guide.
What was on sale?
Valve described the event as featuring “thousands of games” with discounts across genres including fighting games, RPGs, relaxing games, hack-and-slash, adventure, and first-person shooters. It also highlighted a selection of “extra-deep discounts” and daily free sticker drops. Those descriptions establish a broad promotion, not a discount on almost every item in Steam’s catalog.
The event announcement does not provide a verified count of sale listings, the share of Steam’s catalog discounted, total savings, or a complete list of discounted DLC. Discounts depended on the individual title and publisher; consult a game’s Steam listing for its price, region, and included content. The sources do not establish a “best deal” ranking or prove that any price was an all-time low.

Steamworks’ Seasonal Sales documentation says released games may participate in Steam-wide seasonal sales. It also says a discount of at least 20% automatically triggers an email notification to players who have the game on their wishlist. A discounted game may also appear in Steam specials areas depending on its tags, popularity, and recommendations. These are general platform rules, not a count of the 2024 sale’s participants or a guarantee that a particular game was featured.
