These are historical examples, not current offers; actual prices varied by region. Here’s what was on sale and how to judge similar deals when Steam’s next sale arrives.
What happened in the Steam Summer Sale 2025?
Steam’s 2025 Summer Sale ran from June 26 through July 10, a 14-day event recorded by SteamDB’s sale calendar and described by GamesRadar. Valve’s Steamworks seasonal-sales documentation explains that seasonal events reshape the store’s front page, feature rotating selections, and give participating games added visibility. A discount of 20% or more on a wishlisted game can also trigger an email notification.

SteamDB’s sale guidance says listed prices no longer change during an event through flash or daily deals, which Valve removed in 2015. On that basis, there was no need to wait for a later daily price drop during this sale. That is SteamDB’s guidance rather than a directly stated Valve policy.
Standout games and historical prices
The selections below are editorial picks from GamesRadar’s retrospective and discounts advertised by publisher 2K. They are not an exhaustive Steam catalogue or an objective ranking: a useful deal depends on the game, edition, local price, and its price history, not just the discount percentage.

GamesRadar supplied dollar and pound prices for its examples; those figures are regional snapshots, not universal prices. 2K said its advertised discounts were calculated from its suggested retail prices and ended at 10:00 a.m. PST on July 10, 2025. Its percentages are not directly comparable across games or storefronts without checking the actual regional checkout price.
How to tell whether a Steam discount is worthwhile
- Check your local price. Steam prices can vary by region and currency, so an archived US-dollar or UK-pound figure does not tell you what a game costs in your store today.
- Compare the price history. Steam community sale guidance points shoppers to SteamDB or IsThereAnyDeal to see how an offer compares with past prices. SteamDB’s price-history tool shows current price, discount, and regional comparisons.
- Check the edition and bundles. Compare a base game with available bundles or deluxe editions, then confirm exactly which games, expansions, or other content each one includes. A larger discount on one edition does not automatically make it better value.
- Read the store-page requirements. Check the current listing for DRM and any third-party account or launcher requirements before buying; these can affect how you access and use a game.
Can you still get these 2025 sale prices?
No: the event ended on July 10, 2025, so none of the listed figures should be treated as a live offer. Prices and discounts may change outside the sale, and future sale offers may differ. Before purchasing, check the game’s current Steam listing for your region, the edition and included content, the discount’s end date, and price history.
