Stellar Blade’s holiday-themed event was announced on December 16, 2024, and scheduled to arrive December 17, 2024. It decorated Xion for Christmas, added seasonal music and a mini-game, and introduced new outfits and accessories. This is a look back at that 2024 event—not a new 2026 update.
What the holiday event added to Xion
The update gave Xion’s city square a Christmas tree, lights and other seasonal decorations. The Last Gulp was decorated too, extending the holiday look beyond the square. At camps, players could hear two seasonal tracks: “Dawn (Winter)” and “Take me away.”

The event also introduced a new mini-game in Xion, with rewards for completing it. The announcement did not specify the rewards or describe the mini-game’s mechanics.

Seasonal content and the NieR:Automata DLC toggle
Shift Up’s announcement said an on/off feature was added for seasonal events and NieR:Automata DLC content, letting players choose whether to enjoy those additions. The post did not give the setting’s exact menu location or explain whether its behavior differs by platform, so it does not establish a specific path through the game’s menus.

Shift Up CTO and Stellar Blade Technical Director DongKi Lee announced the event on the PlayStation Blog on December 16, 2024, with its arrival set for December 17, 2024.
