It also lists a second lineup built around Uncommon Frank Leslie as captain, with Rare Moreau and a specified officer below deck. These are official recommendations, not a proven universal ranking for every ship, target, or roster.
Scopely’s recommended Xindi Aquatic crews
Scopely’s PvE guide places Xindi Aquatic hostiles under its broader Xindi Hostiles advice. It says any ship can be used for Xindi hostiles and specifically notes the Enterprise NX-01 for Aquatic hostiles.

The guide does not rank these crews against one another or provide a separate lineup for every Aquatic hull, hostile level, ship tier, or stage of player progression. Treat them as starting points, then judge the result against the specific target and ship you are using.
How to place the officers correctly
Officer placement determines which abilities are active. Scopely’s Officers Guide distinguishes three slots:

- Fierce battles with players all over the world
- Captain’s Seat: activates that officer’s Captain’s Maneuver. In the recommended lineups, Archer or Leslie must be captain to use the named captain ability.
- Bridge: activates an officer’s Officer Ability. The bridge officers in a lineup should be placed there rather than below deck if you want those abilities active.
- Below Deck: activates a Below Deck Ability only when its officer is stationed below deck. In Scopely’s alternative, Nero, Georgiou, Tal, or Neelix is explicitly a below-deck choice.
Scopely says Captain’s Maneuvers are affected by synergy with other officers, not by the captain officer’s level or tier. Below Deck Abilities can scale with officer level, tier, or stats, so check the ability text and your available roster when choosing whom to assign.
Choose between survival, damage, and loot goals
If survival is the priority
Scopely recommends the Particle Beam Delay Ex-Borg Favor for survivability against Xindi hostiles. Consider that alongside the listed crew rather than assuming a lineup alone guarantees a particular number of hostile kills or a specific survival rate.

If you want faster kills
The official guide provides crew options but no measured comparison of damage, kills per hull, or performance across ships and targets. You can compare a damage-oriented setup with the survival recommendation against the particular hostile you are farming; the result depends on your ship, officer availability, and target.
If loot is the priority
A community crew reference includes loot-oriented variants as well as a Xindi Hostiles suggestion using Pike, Moreau, and T’Laan. These are roster-dependent community options, not Scopely’s named Aquatic lineup or a guarantee of higher loot. Use the official crew as the baseline and evaluate any loot-focused alternative in your own game.

Enhanced Cruiser advice: verify the live encounter
A third-party Xindi-Aquatic Enhanced Cruiser guide reports that this hostile is a Battleship, ignores shields with its damage, and has abilities that reduce critical-hit damage. On that account, a plan relying only on shields or critical hits may be a poor fit; the guide instead favors damage and hull endurance or mitigation. This is third-party guidance, not an official Scopely crew rule, so check the live encounter’s mechanics before building around it.

Xindi Armadas are a separate activity from farming Xindi Aquatic hostiles. Scopely’s Armada guide recommends Epic Christopher Pike, Epic Gwen DeMarco, and Epic Dajash Tolra against Xindi Armadas. Its generic Armada fallback discusses Georgiou or Nero for Burning, with Neelix below deck for Burning and Dezoc below deck for Assimilate; that is not the hostile recommendation.

The distinction matters because the Xindi Final Weapon’s special rules apply to the Armada encounter. Scopely’s Update 64.1 notes say the weapon increases its damage at the start of a round when it is not Burning, with the increase stacking, and fires a lethal super weapon at one ship every eighth round. The notes say Assimilate at the start of the firing round can disable that shot. Those mechanics explain the Armada-specific crew advice; they do not change the recommended crew for routine Aquatic hostile farming.
