Prime Dolamide Particle is an in-game research currency in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC). It pays for certain Prime research nodes across several trees, but the exact node costs and effects should be checked in your live Research screen before you spend it.

What Prime Dolamide Particle does

Prime Dolamide Particle is not a physical material or a standalone product; it is a game resource associated with Prime research. A 2024 secondary guide reported that it had been sold for real money through the in-game store, but that does not confirm whether it is currently available, what it costs, or whether availability varies by region. Scopely’s current store details were not established in the available sources.

Which Prime research uses it?

Player-maintained research lists associate the particle with nodes in several research trees. Examples below can help you find relevant nodes, but their listed requirements are secondary-reference information rather than a guarantee of current in-game costs.

Research tree Example node Listed requirement or effect
Starships Prime Defiant Ability Efficiency Listed at R&D level 35 for 1,200 Prime Dolamide Particles and 60 million Dilithium; improves the cost efficiency of the U.S.S. Defiant active ability. Player-maintained research table.
Galaxy Prime Structure Listed for 2,400 particles and associated with a hull-health effect. Prime Shield Health Boost is also associated with the particle in a separate search excerpt. Research table; search excerpt.
Station Prime Efficient Ship Engineering and Prime Efficient Ship Parts Listed at R&D level 28 for 7,700 particles plus Dilithium; the guide describes cost-efficiency effects for ship components and parts. Player-maintained research table.
Station Fleet Readiness Listed at R&D level 40 for 1,200 particles and 2.3 billion Dilithium; improves cost efficiency of Fleet Commander skill points. Player-maintained research listing.
Ex-Borg Prime Ex-Borg Credit Efficiency Listed at R&D level 38 for 1,200 particles and 60 million Dilithium; improves base cost efficiency of Ex-Borg faction credits in research. Player-maintained research listing.
Combat Combat Prime nodes Search excerpts show particle costs, but do not establish enough context to reliably name the nodes or give their current requirements. Search excerpt.

How to decide where to spend it

There is no universally best node: the useful choice depends on what you are building toward and what the node currently costs in your account. Compare the benefit with the resources required before committing.

#1 Best Overall
Star Trek™ Fleet Command
  • An open world, strategy MMO Game
  • Mobile Free to play
  • Stunning graphics
  • Iconic Star Trek characters, ships and tech
  • Fierce battles with players all over the world
  • Match the effect to your goal. For example, consider whether you value a named ship ability, ship-part cost efficiency, hull health, or resource and credit efficiency.
  • Check your eligibility. Confirm the node’s R&D level requirement and whether it is available in your research tree.
  • Read the live cost. Verify both Prime Dolamide Particle and Dilithium requirements on the node itself. Published player lists can become outdated.
  • Confirm the currency. Community discussion records confusion and a reported correction about which particle a Prime node requires. Check the exact item shown in-game instead of relying on a node name or an old list. Community discussion.

How to verify a node in STFC

  1. Open the in-game Research screen and navigate to the tree containing the Prime node you are considering.
  2. Select the node and check its displayed effect, R&D level requirement, and full cost, including the particle type and amount.
  3. Compare that effect and cost with your current goals before starting the research.

Exact interface labels and navigation can vary with game updates, so use the node’s current in-game details as the deciding reference.

Is Prime Dolamide Particle currently sold in the store?

A 2024 secondary guide reported real-money store sales, but current availability, price, bundle details, and regional availability are not confirmed by an official current source. Check the in-game store for what is offered to your account rather than treating an older guide as a current price list.
