Press the backslash key () to open it, then use help list to see the public commands documented for your build. A separate Testing Console is enabled with dev.console true. The command references are community-maintained and identify version 0.90.11, so treat effects—especially god mode and hidden commands—as reported behavior, not guaranteed current-build results.
How do I open the console in Stranded Deep?
- Load a PC single-player game.
- Press the backslash key (
) to open the developer console, as described by the community-maintained Developer Console reference. - Enter
help listto display the public command list, or enterhelp <command>to request information about a specific command.
If backslash does not open it, check your keyboard layout and the game’s in-game help. Key placement varies by layout; the reference documents backslash, not a universal tilde shortcut. The command reference describes this console as single-player-only.

What commands are documented?
The community-maintained reference labels its command information as game version 0.90.11. The commands below are reported there; they have not been independently verified against the current PC build. The reference says hidden commands also exist, so this is not a complete inventory of every command in the game.
| Command | Reported use |
|---|---|
clear |
Clears command inputs shown in the console. |
help, help list, help <command> |
Displays help, lists public commands, or requests a command description. |
system |
Displays system specifications. |
options list |
Displays graphical settings. |
fps true / fps false |
Shows or hides the FPS counter. |
dev.log.dump |
Saves the game log to a file on the desktop. |
dev.log.view |
Displays the game log; the reference also lists a true/false stack-trace option. |
dev.log.clear |
Clears the game log. |
dev.die |
Kills the player using it. |
dev.components.camera.reflections true / false |
Enables or disables global reflections. |
dev.capturemode true / false |
Enables or disables capture mode. |
dev.god |
Hidden command; its reported effect is disputed. See below. |
dev.invincible |
Hidden command; the wiki lists it as toggling invincibility, but that behavior is unverified for a current build. |
dev.time <0–24> |
Hidden command; the wiki says it sets the time to a number in this range. |
dev.timescale <number> |
Hidden command; the wiki says the value must be greater than zero and the command works only in the main menu. |
How do you spawn items in Stranded Deep?
Item spawning is associated with the separate Testing Console, not the ordinary public command list. The community-maintained Testing Console reference says to enable that feature by entering dev.console true in the developer console. It describes the Testing Console as providing item-spawning and testing functions. Follow its on-screen controls in your build; the reviewed reference does not establish a universal item-spawn command or confirm that the same steps work in every version.

- STAY ALIVE: Stay sharp: hunger, thirst, and exposure conspire against you as you brave treacherous elements and the dangerous creatures of the Pacific. Live long enough, Stay Alive
Is there a god mode command in Stranded Deep?
The command dev.god is listed as a hidden command, but its effect is unclear. The wiki labels it god mode, while CheatArcade’s Stranded Deep console-command guide, last checked September 11, 2026, describes it as enabling flight and says damage is still possible. Do not assume it makes you invulnerable; check the result in your own build and save before experimenting.
The wiki separately lists dev.invincible as a toggle for invincibility. That is also a reported hidden command, not a verified guarantee for the current game version.

Can you change the time of day?
The wiki lists the hidden command dev.time <0–24> for setting time to a numeric value from 0 to 24. This range and effect are documented by that reference, not confirmed by a current-build test. If it does not work, consult help dev.time in your game; hidden commands may behave differently by version.
Do console commands work on PS4, PS5, or Xbox?
The documented developer-console route is PC-specific. Beam Team Games’ December 19, 2022 console update notes describe Xbox and PlayStation updates, including inventory and stability changes, but do not document developer commands. The reviewed official material therefore does not establish a command-console equivalent for PS4, PS5, or Xbox. Connecting a keyboard to a console should not be assumed to enable the PC developer console.

Version and source limits
The command details come from community-maintained Stranded Deep Wiki pages that identify version 0.90.11; their entries are documentation, not confirmation of behavior in the latest build. Steam’s support page identifies Beam Team Games as developer and Beam Team Publishing as publisher, and lists the Steam release date as August 10, 2022: Steam Support: Stranded Deep – Gameplay or technical issue. No geographic restriction for the documented commands is stated in these sources.
