Streamlabs is not shutting down as a whole. Its notices cover specific tools and features, with changes announced from 2024 through 2026; the listed cutoff dates have passed as of October 3, 2026. The changes affect branding tools, Streamlabs Music, Link Space, Collectibles, and selected widgets—not every Streamlabs product. Trovo’s shutdown was a separate platform event.
Which Streamlabs tools were affected?
Streamlabs announced changes to several individual products and features over time. The dates below distinguish when Streamlabs announced each change from when the affected tool was due to stop working or become inaccessible.
| Product or feature | What Streamlabs announced | Key date |
|---|---|---|
| Branding tools | YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, and Social Reminders would be discontinued. | Announced June 2024; the notice does not establish a specific end date here. |
| Streamlabs Music | Removed from the Streamlabs Desktop app store; existing users had a short transition period before the app stopped working. | Removed March 6, 2025; existing access ended after March 2025. |
| Link Space | Users were told to preserve links and useful analytics before the service became inaccessible. | Inaccessible after November 8, 2025. |
| Collectibles | The library stopped accepting new claims; items already bought or claimed were to remain in users’ inventories and installable in Desktop scenes. | Stopped accepting new claims December 18, 2025. |
| Selected widgets | Six named widgets were scheduled to sunset; other listed goal widgets were continuing alternatives. | Scheduled sunset: April 12, 2026. |
Branding tools: the 2024 discontinuation
In June 2024, Streamlabs announced it would discontinue five creator tools:
- YouTube Thumbnails
- Emote Maker
- Logo Maker
- Intro Maker
- Social Reminders
Streamlabs named Fiverr at the time as an option for commissioned work such as stream graphics, logos, social media assets, and video editing. That historical mention does not establish current availability, pricing, or an active offer. The 20% first-order discount advertised in the 2024 notice is not evidence of a current deal.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Streamlabs Music: what happened to the app?
Streamlabs’ support notice said Streamlabs Music was removed from the Streamlabs Desktop app store on March 6, 2025. Existing users could use it through the end of March; after that, the app stopped working. That transition period has passed, so creators should not rely on the former app being available.
The notice named Pretzel and Slip.Stream as copyright-safe music alternatives available through the Streamlabs ecosystem. It described free and premium options for Pretzel and referred Ultra subscribers to Slip.Stream’s full collection. Those descriptions do not verify either service’s current availability, subscription terms, or the rights attached to a particular track. Check the current terms and licensing for the music you plan to use, especially if you monetize streams or keep VODs.
Streamlabs also said that past recordings and YouTube uploads containing music used from Streamlabs Music remain DMCA-free. That statement concerns the past content described in its notice; it is not a general license for other music or for new use of tracks from another service.

The notice recommended moving to another bio-link service or placing social links on a Streamlabs Tip Page, but did not name a specific third-party replacement. If you are rebuilding a link hub now, check that your new destination supports the links and analytics you actually need before removing any remaining records.
Collectibles: existing items versus new claims
According to Streamlabs’ December 2025 notice, the Collectibles library stopped accepting new claims on December 18, 2025. The notice excerpt says items already bought or claimed remain accessible in the user’s inventory and can still be installed into Desktop scenes. It does not establish other current Collectibles functions or a broader policy for future changes.

Selected widgets: the six named in the 2026 notice
In March 2026, Streamlabs scheduled these six widgets to sunset on April 12, 2026:
- Game Widget
- Twitch Charity Donation Goal
- Facebook Supporter Goal
- Facebook Stars Goal
- Facebook Shares Goal
- Plarium Goal
The notice identifies these selected widgets, not all Streamlabs widgets. It listed the following goal widgets as continuing options:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Tip Goal
- Follower Goal
- Sub Goal
- Bits Goal
- Super Chat Goal
- Streamlabs Charity Donation Goal
- Tiltify Donation Goal
Choose a replacement by matching the goal to the platform and action you want to track. For example, Streamlabs listed Bits Goal for Twitch-oriented Bits progress; it is not a one-for-one replacement for every Facebook metric. For Twitch engagement features that had been handled by Game Widget, Streamlabs pointed to its Twitch Extension, which it said offers mini-games, loyalty points, polls, and more.

The April 12, 2026 date is the sunset date Streamlabs announced. The notice alone does not confirm the live status of each widget after that date, so verify a widget in your account before relying on it for an upcoming broadcast.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Streamlabs shutting down?
No whole-company or whole-platform shutdown is established by these notices. Streamlabs’ FAQ and getting-started materials describe other offerings, including Desktop, Mobile, video and clip editors, widgets, alerts, and tipping. The changes covered here are product- or feature-specific. A discontinued tool does not, by itself, mean that other Streamlabs services are ending.
Trovo’s shutdown is a separate event
Trovo—not Streamlabs—shut down its live-streaming features on June 30, 2026 at 00:00 GMT+8, according to a Streamlabs preparation article from June 2026. That event affected creators using Trovo as a streaming platform; it was not another Streamlabs product discontinuation.

The article said Trovo accounts, mini-game data, levels, and friend lists were to be retained. It also said VODs and chat history would be deleted after a legally mandated retention period, without giving a precise deletion date. The guidance recommended securing Streamlabs access with a Streamlabs ID, downloading VODs, and directing viewers to other platforms. Since the shutdown date has passed, check the relevant account and platform notices for the status of any remaining data.
For creators who run a prerecorded 24/7 YouTube channel
Streamlabs’ discontinued tools do not require a streaming-service replacement. If your separate need is keeping uploaded gaming videos live on YouTube around the clock, StreamNeo is a cloud service for that specific workflow: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera; your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. The uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. For a prerecorded channel—not for replacing a Streamlabs editor, widget, music library, or bio-link page—you can start a StreamNeo free day.
