Once that sequence ends, you can leave: reports published October 15, 2026 say there is no additional tag at the very end.
Does Street Fighter have a post-credits scene?
Yes, but “post-credits” is not technically the most accurate description. The film contains a single mid-credits scene. It plays during the credits, rather than after every credit has rolled. There is no second scene at the end.

When should you leave the theater?
If you want the extra footage
Remain seated after the main feature and watch the credits until the mid-credits sequence appears. The exact timing can vary with the theater’s presentation, so waiting through the opening portion of the credits is the practical approach.
If you only want the ending
You do not need to stay until the final credit has rolled. After the Sagat scene finishes, reports indicate that nothing else follows.

Does the scene confirm a Street Fighter sequel?
No. The approach to Sagat is a franchise tease and could support future stories, but Paramount, Capcom and Capcom Town’s official pages reviewed for the film do not announce a sequel or sequel release date. Treat any claim that a follow-up is already greenlit as unconfirmed unless the companies make a formal announcement.
How the scene fits the film’s story
The film’s official setup places the action in 1993. Estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) return to combat after Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. A conspiracy behind the tournament forces the fighters to confront one another and their pasts.
The announced cast also includes Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog and Jason Momoa as Blanka. The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai and produced through the Capcom/Legendary partnership.
Why Sagat matters to the tease
Sagat’s appearance turns the credits scene into more than a closing joke: it places a major Street Fighter figure in direct proximity to Bison, Cammy and Vega. The footage does not state what Sagat agrees to do, identify a completed organization or reveal a future film’s storyline. Those details remain open.

Release and franchise context
Street Fighter is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Capcom said in an April 17, 2026 corporate release that the Street Fighter fighting-game series had sold more than 58 million units worldwide as of the end of December 2025. That figure describes the game franchise, not the movie’s box-office performance or the status of a sequel.
