Street Fighter 6 costumes and colors come from three different systems. Outfit 2 can be earned through World Tour or Avatar Arcade, bought in the in-game Shop, or included with an Ultimate Pass. Character Passes mainly add fighters, Outfit 1 colors and Drive Tickets; Ultimate Passes add Outfits 2 and 3. Special colors are separate rewards with their own platform, DLC, outfit and date requirements.
This guide separates permanent gameplay unlocks from paid content and limited-time codes, using Capcom’s information current on October 13, 2026.

What you can unlock, and which route applies
Street Fighter 6 does not use one universal costume currency or one checklist for every fighter. The route depends on the item. A character’s Outfit 2 has gameplay and purchase routes. Outfit 1 color variants are commonly supplied through Character Passes, while Outfits 2 and 3 and their color sets are part of Ultimate Pass products. Promotional colors can require a specific DLC package, an outfit you must already own, an event viewing requirement or a code that works on only one platform.

The base game is required for pass content. A pass is not a standalone copy of Street Fighter 6, and buying a pass for the wrong platform or year does not transfer its contents to another platform.

How to unlock Outfit 2 without buying it
World Tour: raise the relevant master’s bond
Capcom confirms that maximizing a master’s World Tour bond unlocks that master’s Outfit 2. World Tour also uses character-specific conditions, so there is no single mission sequence, gift list or item count that applies to every fighter.
- Open World Tour and identify the master whose Outfit 2 you want.
- Complete that master’s available activities and missions, and raise the bond shown on the master relationship screen.
- Check the current master information after each milestone. Continue until the bond reaches its maximum state.
- Confirm the Outfit 2 unlock in the character’s customization or equipment area before leaving World Tour.
The exact missions, gifts and unlock timing can change by character. If a bond appears full but the costume is not available, refresh the mode, check for an unfinished master mission and verify that you are looking at the same character’s Outfit 2 rather than an Outfit 1 color or a promotional color.
Avatar Arcade: fill the Acquisition Gauge
Avatar Arcade offers a second gameplay route. Defeating masters fills their Acquisition Gauge. When a master’s gauge reaches MAX, that master’s Outfit 2 unlocks. This is a gauge threshold, not a bond requirement.
- Enter Avatar Arcade and select the master you want to challenge.
- Defeat that master in the available arcade encounters.
- Repeat the encounters until the master’s Acquisition Gauge displays MAX.
- Check the unlock notification and then verify the costume in the relevant character’s outfit selection.
World Tour and Avatar Arcade are not interchangeable versions of the same task: World Tour centers on a master’s relationship and character-specific conditions, while Avatar Arcade advances through victories that fill a visible gauge.
Buy Outfit 2 from the Shop
Capcom also lists a direct Shop purchase as an Outfit 2 route. Use the in-game Shop, select the relevant character and review the Outfit 2 listing. Confirm the character, platform and item description before spending currency. Shop catalogs and individual prices can change, and the currently published information does not establish a permanent price list for every costume.
Character Pass versus Ultimate Pass
Pass names matter because they do not contain the same cosmetic package. Capcom’s June 29, 2026 pass description says each Character Pass includes four additional characters, Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 and Drive Tickets. An Ultimate Pass includes that Character Pass content plus Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 costumes and additional Drive Tickets.

These are product families, not a promise that every year has identical contents. Read the listing for the exact year and platform. The base game is sold separately, so a pass alone does not provide access to the game or its base roster.
Year 3 Ultimate Pass: a concrete example
The Year 3 Ultimate Pass listing identifies Sagat, C. Viper, Alex and Ingrid as its four characters. It specifies Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 for those characters, plus Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 with Colors 1–10 for each. The product also lists one additional stage and 5,800 Drive Tickets. That is a Year 3 specification, not a template for every Character Pass or Ultimate Pass.

Because pass contents are platform-specific and can be revised, match the store listing to your copy of Street Fighter 6 before purchasing. Do not infer a current price from an older listing or assume a discount is still active.
How color unlocks differ from costumes
A color is a variant for an outfit; it is not automatically a new costume. A Character Pass can provide Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 without providing Outfit 2. An Ultimate Pass can provide the second and third outfits and explicitly listed color ranges. A special campaign color may require the underlying Outfit 2 even when the code has already been entered.
If a color appears locked, first identify the outfit shown in the selection screen. Then check whether the color came from a pass, a Shop item or a time-limited campaign. Owning Outfit 1 does not satisfy a requirement that specifically names Outfit 2.

Special colors and promotional codes
M. Bison commemorative color campaign
Capcom’s October 9, 2026 M. Bison campaign ties a commemorative color to eligible Capcom Town Store orders. To use the color, you need Street Fighter 6, the Year 2 DLC and M. Bison’s applicable Outfit 2. The code may be entered before Outfit 2 is obtained, but the color remains unusable until that outfit is acquired.
Capcom lists support for Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The reward is not shared across platforms. The published code-entry window starts October 15, 2026, at 11:00 ET and ends January 15, 2027, at 09:59 ET. Entering a valid code outside that window will not make it permanent or transferable.
Guile Twitch promotion
Capcom also ran a Guile promotion that awarded a movie-inspired color code for watching the Street Fighter 6 Twitch category for at least 30 minutes during the event’s stated windows: October 1–2 and October 12–13, 2026. Those viewing windows have passed as of October 13, 2026, so this is a past-event reward rather than a currently obtainable watch mission.
For people who earned the code during an eligible window, Capcom scheduled redemption to begin October 15 at 8:00 AM PT. Redemption requires Street Fighter 6, Guile’s applicable Outfit 2 and an online connection. The code is limited to one platform and cannot be shared across platforms.

- Verify the campaign’s exact character and outfit requirement.
- Confirm that your game platform is listed in the promotion rules.
- Redeem during the published start and end dates, using the campaign’s designated code-entry process while online.
- Launch the game on the same platform used for redemption.
- If the color is still locked, obtain the required Outfit 2 and check the outfit-specific color row again.
Codes are not a substitute for ownership requirements. A code can be accepted while a dependent outfit remains missing, yet the reward can stay hidden until that outfit is unlocked.

Platform, DLC and account checks before you buy or redeem
- Platform: Confirm Steam, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2 support in the campaign or product listing. Promotional colors can be permanently limited to the platform where the code was redeemed.
- Year: Match Year 1, Year 2 or Year 3 content to the pass or DLC named in the listing.
- Base game: A Character Pass or Ultimate Pass requires the base game separately.
- Outfit dependency: If the reward says Outfit 2, owning Outfit 1 or only the character is not enough.
- Online access: Event-code redemption can require an online connection even if you later use the cosmetic offline.
These checks prevent the most common purchase error: buying a pass that contains the desired fighter but not the desired outfit, or redeeming a platform-specific color on an account that cannot use it elsewhere.
What does not unlock costumes
Capcom’s amiibo manual describes saving and reading outfit and color settings. It does not identify amiibo as a method for unlocking a Street Fighter 6 costume. Treat an amiibo setting transfer as a convenience for saved customization data, not as an alternative to World Tour, Avatar Arcade, the Shop, a pass or an event code.
There is also no established universal current catalog of individual color prices or special colors. Check the live in-game Shop and the current event announcement for those details rather than relying on an old list.

The Outfit 2 slot is still locked
Check whether you are pursuing the correct route. In World Tour, inspect the master’s bond and pending missions. In Avatar Arcade, verify that the Acquisition Gauge actually says MAX. If neither condition is complete, the slot should remain locked unless you purchase the item or own an Ultimate Pass that includes it.
A pass added the fighter but not the expected colors
Re-read the product type. Character Pass content includes Outfit 1 Colors 3–10, while Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 are Ultimate Pass additions. Also verify that the pass covers the same year, platform and character you are viewing.
A code was accepted but the color cannot be selected
Check the promotion’s prerequisite outfit and DLC. The M. Bison campaign, for example, allows code entry before Outfit 2 but withholds use of the color until Outfit 2 is acquired. For Guile’s promotion, confirm that the code was earned during an eligible watch window and that the account is online on the redemption platform.
The item appears on another platform
That is expected for rewards marked as non-shareable. Promotional colors are platform-bound in the cited campaigns; moving from PlayStation to Steam, Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2 does not copy the reward.

Start with the free gameplay route when you only need one Outfit 2. Consider a pass only when its complete roster and cosmetic contents match what you intend to use. For a limited code, record the platform and deadline before redeeming; those conditions determine whether the color can ever appear in your collection.
