Cyanide has fixed some crashes and stability problems in Styx: Blades of Greed, but its patch notes do not say every PC crash is fixed. Update the game first, then check whether your PC meets Steam’s published requirements and record exactly when the crash occurs. If it continues, Nacon’s Steam-listed support contact is [email protected].

What the patches fixed—and what they did not promise

Cyanide’s March 9, 2026 patch notes list “Fixed multiple crashes” and a stability fix for Intel 13th- and 14th-generation processors. The announcement also acknowledged that issues remained and said the patch addressed several problems, including one affecting save files.

The March 30, 2026 patch notes say “Some specific crashes have been corrected.” They do not identify every affected configuration or state that all crashes are resolved. Updating is a sensible first check, but it cannot be assumed to fix a crash with a different cause.

Check the PC requirements

Steam’s published requirements are a baseline for comparison, not a guarantee that a system meeting them will be crash-free.

Compare your Windows edition, CPU, RAM, exact GPU model and VRAM, DirectX version, and available storage with the relevant column. A crash alone does not show that your hardware needs upgrading: the official patch history documents game-side crash and stability faults as well.

If the game still crashes

Note when and how it fails

  • Separate a crash on startup from one that happens during a session.
  • Record whether the game closes to desktop, displays an error, or the whole PC locks up.
  • Write down the exact error text and what you were doing immediately before the failure.
  • Include whether the game is updated and whether you play through Steam or another storefront.

Contact official support with useful details

Steam Support lists Nacon’s official support email as [email protected]. In your message, include your CPU and GPU, Windows version, storefront, the crash timing and type, the exact error message, and the action immediately preceding the crash. These details help describe the problem; they are not a published Cyanide diagnostic checklist.

Rank #2

Steam Support also links a community guide titled “FIX game crash to desktop with AMD.” It is community-created, not an official diagnosis or a verified universal fix, so do not assume its steps apply to every AMD system or every crash.
