No. A separate German feature, directed by Philipp Link, also called Sub Rosa and released in 2014, follows a family living under a restrictive, cult-like religious community. Filmportal.de records its premiere at the Hof festival in October 2014. That feature is not de Lara’s short; its plot, cast, and release context are different. IMDb lists de Lara’s film as a 22-minute drama/romance, but that runtime and genre are secondary database metadata rather than details stated on the official film site. IMDb’s listing for Sub Rosa (2014 short).
Where can I watch Sub Rosa?
The official site says screenings will be announced and directs people seeking a rental to subscribe to the film’s YouTube channel. It also says its Cast & Director interview package is available through Patreon and on DVD. These are the site’s stated options; regional access, current rental availability, pricing, and the contents of any retail DVD edition are not established here.
