What happened at Supanova Perth on 24 June 2023?
The Saturday event brought together fans of comics, science fiction, fantasy, anime, gaming, nostalgia and toys. PerthNow reported appearances by Alyssa Milano, Lincoln Lewis and Barry Pearl. Milano signed autographs, while Pearl auctioned paintings by Juliet Stockton to benefit Olivia Newton-John’s cancer wellness and research centre.
Cosplay was a visible part of the convention. The report described attendees dressed as Batman, Captain America and Wonder Woman. Ellie Christina said she had custom ordered her DC animated Wonder Woman costume six months earlier; Nathan Dryden said he bought part of his Batman costume online and made the cape himself.
