Jamboree debuted at No. 1, while FC 25, which had led the chart for the previous three weeks, fell to No. 2. This was a weekly physical/retail ranking, not an all-channel sales result.
What the UK chart showed
The week-ending 19 October chart placed Super Mario Party Jamboree first and EA Sports FC 25 second. The next three positions were Hogwarts Legacy, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, respectively, according to Push Square’s 21 October 2024 report. Nintendo Life also reported that FC 25 had topped the chart for the preceding three weeks before Jamboree’s debut (Nintendo Life, 23 October 2024).
The result is a launch-week win for Jamboree—not evidence that it outsold FC 25 over a month or a year. The reports describe a physical or retail software chart, so the ranking should not be read as a complete tally of digital and physical purchases.
Jamboree’s launch compared with Mario Party Superstars
Nintendo Everything reported that Jamboree’s UK physical launch sales were 35% higher than those of Mario Party Superstars (21 October 2024). That is a comparison between the games’ physical launch sales; the report does not give an absolute unit count for Jamboree. The percentage therefore cannot be used to calculate how many copies it sold.
#1 Best Overall
- Get ready for the biggest party yet in Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch. From running through merry-go-rounds to motion-control minigolf, this jamboree is jam-packed with over 110 minigames – the most of any Mario Party game to date!
- With seven boards in all, you can go with the flow in Goomba Lagoon, search for stars in Rainbow Galleria, revisit the classics of Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle from past titles and more.
- Race across the party board in Koopathlon, a series-first 20-player online competition to see who can rack up the highest scores in minigames like the fast-paced Lane Change. The higher your score in each round, the faster you’ll get to the goal. Koopathlon is just one of a slew of additional modes – there’s something for every kind of Mario Party player to enjoy!
Why later charts show a different result
Chart positions change with the measurement period and what sales channels are counted. Jamboree’s first-place weekly debut is compatible with its lower position in October’s monthly ranking and FC 25’s year-end lead.
