The reported Super Mario Party Jamboree demo was an in-store Nintendo Switch kiosk preview in the United States, available at participating retailers from October 4, 2024—not evidence of a demo you can still play today. Reports listed Target, Best Buy and GameStop, with Nintendo Everything also naming select Walmart locations. No current kiosk availability has been established.
Where the demo was available
Nintendo Wire reported on October 7, 2024, that the demo had been available at Nintendo Switch kiosks since October 4 at Target, Best Buy and GameStop. Nintendo Everything’s October 8 report also listed select Walmart locations. These were reported locations, not a guarantee that every branch had a working kiosk; the reports do not establish that any retailer still offers the demo.
The coverage was about US retailers. It does not establish availability in other countries, and it does not confirm a downloadable Nintendo eShop demo. Nintendo Everything reported at the time that an eShop version did not appear to be planned.
What you could play in the kiosk demo
The kiosk experience had a ten-minute timer and offered two areas: Koopathlon and Minigame Bay. The timer made it a brief sample rather than a full session.

- Get ready for the biggest party yet in Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch. From running through merry-go-rounds to motion-control minigolf, this jamboree is jam-packed with over 110 minigames – the most of any Mario Party game to date!
- With seven boards in all, you can go with the flow in Goomba Lagoon, search for stars in Rainbow Galleria, revisit the classics of Western Land and Mario’s Rainbow Castle from past titles and more.
- Race across the party board in Koopathlon, a series-first 20-player online competition to see who can rack up the highest scores in minigames like the fast-paced Lane Change. The higher your score in each round, the faster you’ll get to the goal. Koopathlon is just one of a slew of additional modes – there’s something for every kind of Mario Party player to enjoy!
Koopathlon
Koopathlon let players compete against computer-controlled opponents. The kiosk report described this as a preview of the mode, not the full range of activities in the game.
Minigame Bay
Minigame Bay included three reported options: Showdown Minigame Battle, Free Play and Tag Match (2 vs. 2). Showdown featured challenges associated with Jamboree Buddies on the full game’s boards, according to Nintendo Wire’s report.

How the preview differed from the full game
The kiosk demo sampled selected modes; it was not a representation of everything in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Nintendo’s game page describes the full game as having over 110 minigames, 22 playable characters and seven boards, with support for up to four local players. The demo reports do not say that all of those characters, boards or minigames were available at the kiosk.
| Experience | What the sources establish |
|---|---|
| Retail kiosk demo | Ten-minute, in-store sample with Koopathlon and selected Minigame Bay options, as reported in October 2024 by Nintendo Wire and Nintendo Everything. |
| Full game | Over 110 minigames, 22 playable characters, seven boards and up to four local players, according to Nintendo. |
What to know if you want to play now
The 2024 reports are useful for understanding what the kiosk preview contained, but they do not confirm that a retailer kiosk is still running it. Check with a nearby store before making a trip. If you want the complete experience at home, look for the Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch game; current price and stock are not established here.
