Microphone-based encounters
The Steam description says players can “Utilize your microphone to communicate with a supernatural entity.” It also says that louder player sound causes the game to prepare scarier events. That makes voice and sound level part of the encounter, rather than merely a way to communicate with other players. The listing does not identify a required microphone model or minimum standard; a suitable PC microphone is optional hardware to consider if you want to engage with this mechanic.
