The preview captured an early, still-developing game—not a current recommendation: SUPERVIVE’s official Steam notice set the end of its live service for February 25, 2026, a date that has passed.
What was Project Loki?
Project Loki was the working title for SUPERVIVE, a free-to-play, squad-based hero battle royale from Theorycraft Games. Nexon announced the new name on June 26, 2024. For Japan and South Korea, Nexon said it would handle publishing. Nexon’s announcement
The first-preview framing matters: the available descriptions reflect a game in development and testing, not a definitive account of its final form. Theorycraft described SUPERVIVE as its first title and said it was developing in the open with players. CEO Joe Tung said the studio was formed to pursue deeper games and a new development approach “out in the open with real players from day one.” Theorycraft Games’ announcement
How was SUPERVIVE meant to play?
The basic battle-royale loop was familiar in outline: teams crossed a sky-bound map as a storm closed in, fought other squads, and aimed to be the last team standing. Theorycraft described squads of two or four, with character powers and equipment shaping encounters.

Movement and vertical combat
Nexon emphasized that the top-view perspective did not mean ground-bound movement. Players could jump and glide, while combat extended into the air along a Z-axis. That verticality was presented as a defining part of the game’s fast-paced action, rather than a cosmetic way to traverse the map.
Abilities and the environment
The announced design combined character abilities and equipment with physics-based combat and environmental interaction. Theorycraft characterized this as an action sandbox: the intent was to give squads room to improvise with powers, movement, and the terrain instead of relying on one fixed combat pattern. These were design descriptions, not independently verified findings from a hands-on review.

What did the preview evidence establish?
Nexon reported that SUPERVIVE had undergone more than 50 playtests in North America and Europe by its June 2024 announcement, with player feedback informing improvements. That is a publisher-reported count, not an independently audited total, and it does not by itself establish finished-game quality or player reception.
The preview’s most distinctive proposition was the combination of squad battle-royale pressure with gliding, jumping, aerial combat, and interactive surroundings. The available announcements establish that this was the intended direction; they do not establish how well the released game ultimately delivered on it.

What happened to SUPERVIVE?
SUPERVIVE’s official Steam announcement, published December 16, 2025, said its live service would end on February 25, 2026. The notice described Patch 2.04 as the final planned content patch before the sunset. Official SUPERVIVE Steam announcements
That shutdown date has passed. The cited notice establishes the end of the live service, but does not explain whether any offline or private access remained afterward. It is therefore not accurate to present SUPERVIVE as an available current game or to assume it can still be downloaded or played.
