The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle was reported at $449 during the 2025 holiday season, a $50 cut from its then-$499 price. That was a past promotion, not a verified October 2026 deal. Nintendo’s current U.S. announcement lists the bundle at $549.99, including the game and a 90-day Nintendo Switch Online membership.
What the $50 holiday deal actually was
Nintendo Life reported on December 2, 2025, that the bundle was selling for $449 at Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy—$50 below its $499 price at the time. Tom’s Guide later reported Best Buy’s $449 offer on December 23 and said it was scheduled to end December 25, 2025. Those reports document a December promotion; they do not confirm that the same price or any of those retailers’ offers is available now.

The distinction matters because the bundle’s announced price has since changed. Nintendo’s current U.S. product announcement lists it at $549.99. Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 deal coverage lists $549, so retailer listings or coverage may round or differ slightly from Nintendo’s stated price.
What is included at Nintendo’s announced U.S. price
- A Nintendo Switch 2 system.
- A full download of Mario Kart World, rather than a physical game card.
- A three-month (90-day) Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership.
Nintendo says the bundle saves $37.98 compared with buying the included components separately at their suggested retail prices. That is Nintendo’s comparison against separate suggested prices—not a guarantee that the bundle will beat every retailer’s current individual prices or promotions.

How to judge the bundle against your alternatives
| Option | What to compare | What the available figures establish |
|---|---|---|
| Bundle | Console, game download, and 90-day membership together | Nintendo’s announced U.S. price is $549.99; its stated saving against separate suggested retail prices is $37.98. |
| Buy the components separately | Current price of each item from the retailer you plan to use | Nintendo’s $37.98 comparison uses separate suggested retail prices. Retailer basket totals can vary. |
| Console only | Whether you already own Mario Kart World or do not want the included download | Nintendo’s U.S. page lists the standard Switch 2 system at a suggested retail price of $499.99 as of September 1, 2026. |
| Holiday promotion | Whether a seller has a genuinely live offer at checkout | The reported $449 price was a December 2025 promotion, not an established current price. |
If you want the game and can use the membership, compare the live bundle checkout total with the same retailer’s separate-item total. If you already own the game, compare the console-only price instead; the bundle’s advertised saving may have little value to you. Check delivery date and stock as well as price, since historical deal coverage does not establish present availability.

Nintendo says the included membership auto-renews after the initial 90-day term at the then-current price unless canceled. Internet access is required for online features, and Nintendo says the offer is not available in all countries. Its retail-offer terms say availability is while supplies last. Before buying, review the seller’s current listing and Nintendo’s applicable offer terms for your region.
