What the Standard Edition includes
Standard is not a shortened version of the remaster. It contains the base game: the full role-playing adventure set across Inferia and Celestia, with Reid Hershel, Farah Oersted, and Meredy confronting the Grand Fall. The publisher’s descriptions do not identify any story mission, playable character, ending, or major area that is locked to Digital Deluxe.

For a player whose priority is seeing the campaign, Standard supplies the same core content as Deluxe. The lower price is therefore a content decision rather than a compromise on the narrative campaign.
Who should start with Standard?
- New players: You receive the complete adventure without paying for media extras before knowing whether you want them.
- Budget-conscious buyers: The €29.99 European price is the lowest listed digital entry point.

What Digital Deluxe adds

This is a set of consumable growth-support items. Consumables can make progression more convenient, but the listing does not describe them as a separate playable scenario or permanent character feature. The Battle BGM Pack adds music options for combat. It is most relevant to players who enjoy changing battle tracks, want additional arrangements in repeat encounters, or treat the soundtrack as part of the appeal of a remastered role-playing game. It does not add a new story route.

Digital Artbook & Soundtrack
The Digital Artbook & Soundtrack is the main collector-oriented component. It provides digital reference material and music to access alongside the game. If you normally buy a game’s soundtrack or artbook separately, this bundle can make the Deluxe premium easier to justify; if you never open digital extras, it has little gameplay value.
What Deluxe does not list
The official edition lists do not identify an exclusive campaign, playable character, new ending, or additional region for Deluxe. Treat the upgrade as a package of digital media and convenience items rather than a larger game.
The shared remastered game
Both editions include the same remaster and the same platform availability. The publisher’s global announcement gives an October 16, 2026 launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam. Steam records October 15, 2026 for its regional PC release timestamp; storefront time zones can make the displayed date differ from a global announcement.

The publisher’s marketing describes the approach this way: “Nothing about the original adventure has been lost along the way, and the choice of how to play it is always yours.” That statement supports the practical distinction between the editions: Standard preserves the adventure, while Deluxe packages optional extras around it.
Is Digital Deluxe worth the extra money?
Use the €20 European difference, or the live price shown in your own storefront, as payment for the extras rather than for additional story content. The right answer depends on how you value digital media and convenience.
Deluxe is a good fit when
- You collect digital artbooks or game soundtracks and expect to use both.
- You want alternate battle music in addition to the remaster’s standard audio experience.
- You prefer having growth-support consumables available from the start.
- You are already certain you will replay the game and will use the extras over multiple runs.
- The local price gap is small because of a sale or regional pricing.
Standard is the better value when
- Your main goal is the complete campaign.
- You rarely open digital artbooks or listen to bundled soundtracks.
- You would rather learn the progression system without support consumables.
- You are buying for a first playthrough and want to minimize upfront cost.
- You may later decide that the extras matter and want to investigate the separate upgrade product first.
Do not buy Deluxe expecting a longer adventure. The available edition descriptions support a premium for bonus media, music, and consumables, not for a second campaign.
Price, currency, and upgrade math
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe’s 2026 listings provide the clearest published comparison: Standard €29.99, Digital Deluxe €49.99, and Deluxe Upgrade Pack €24.99. The Korean Steam storefront accessed in 2026 displays Standard at ₩39,800 and Deluxe at ₩69,800. The arithmetic total is not a promise that upgrading will cost more than buying Deluxe at launch. Store rules, discounts, and upgrade eligibility determine the actual transaction. Check whether the upgrade product is intended for owners of Standard on the same platform and account, and whether the store offers a bundle adjustment.
Can you upgrade from Standard later?
A separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack is listed at €24.99 on the European publisher page, and Steam shows a separate Deluxe Upgrade Pack alongside other level-up DLC. This indicates an upgrade route exists in at least those listings, but the available edition lists do not establish identical eligibility rules for every console, region, or storefront.
- Open the store page for the platform on which you own Standard.
- Confirm that the product is labeled Deluxe Upgrade Pack, not the full Digital Deluxe Edition.
- Read the purchase requirements for ownership of the base game, account region, and platform family.
- Check the items included in that store’s description against the publisher’s Deluxe list: Super Growth Support Item Set, Battle BGM Pack, and Digital Artbook & Soundtrack.
- Compare the live upgrade price with the current full Deluxe price before paying.
Do not assume that buying Standard on one platform grants Deluxe extras on another. Cross-buy or cross-save behavior is not established by the available edition lists, so treat each platform storefront as a separate purchase environment unless its terms explicitly say otherwise.

Physical Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 editions
Bandai Namco Japan’s product table distinguishes package Standard editions, download Standard editions, a package-only special edition, a download-only Deluxe Edition, and a Deluxe Upgrade Pack. That table confirms physical Switch and Switch 2 packages in Japan, but its package details should not be generalized to every country.

Japan-listed package bonuses
The Japanese package listings describe physical bonuses including a reversible jacket, a three-pin badge set, an acrylic diorama, eight illustration cards, and a 13-piece sticker set. These are package-edition details for that market. Availability, language configuration, age rating, included game code, and shipping conditions can differ in another region.
How to check a physical listing safely
- Confirm whether the listing is for Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2; the two platform versions are listed separately.
- Check the seller’s region and the package’s language and compatibility information.
- Verify whether the item is the Standard package, a special package, or a digital code in a physical box.
- Read the live stock and dispatch information rather than relying on an old announcement.
- Compare the physical package’s bonuses with the digital Deluxe contents; a package bonus does not automatically include the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack or Battle BGM Pack unless the listing says so.
Official sources verify that physical packages exist for Switch and Switch 2, but they do not verify any particular retailer’s current inventory, seller, region, language, or price. A physical-minded buyer should use the live local listing as the final authority.
Choosing the right platform and store version
The remaster is announced for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. Before checkout, match the edition to the device you will actually use.

Steam currently shows 86% positive from 107 user reviews. That is a changing user-review snapshot, not a critic score or a guarantee of performance on every PC. If you are deciding between Steam editions, use the review figure only as a current community signal; judge Deluxe on the contents and price shown for your account’s storefront.
