Tango Gameworks’ “rebirth” was its return as Tango Gameworks Inc. under KRAFTON, announced on January 1, 2025—not the reveal of a game called Rebirth or a confirmation of Hi-Fi RUSH 2. Tango later mentioned early work on an unnamed action game, but did not identify it.
What Tango Gameworks announced
After Microsoft announced Tango’s closure in May 2024, KRAFTON announced in August that it would take over the studio’s business. On January 1, 2025, Tango’s first social post following the closure announcement said the studio had a new start as Tango Gameworks Inc. under KRAFTON. The “rebirth” language came from coverage of that restart; it was not a game title. Insider Gaming reported the January announcement.
KRAFTON said it intended to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax on a smooth transition, maintain continuity, support continued development of the Hi-Fi RUSH intellectual property, and explore future projects. Those were stated intentions, not confirmation of a specific sequel. KRAFTON’s takeover announcement also highlighted awards earned by Hi-Fi RUSH, including Best Audio Design at The Game Awards 2023, Best Audio at the 24th Game Developers Choice Awards, and Best Animation at the 20th BAFTA Games Awards.
Has Tango announced Hi-Fi RUSH 2?
No sequel is confirmed by the announcements and reporting cited here. KRAFTON’s plans for the Hi-Fi RUSH IP leave room for future work, but they do not establish that a sequel is in development. In June 2025, Tango posted that it had positions open for early work on “an unannounced action game.” The notice did not give the project a title or connect it to Hi-Fi RUSH. The available notice does not identify the game’s format, platforms, release window, or subsequent status. It is evidence that Tango advertised early work on an unnamed action game in June 2025—not evidence of a particular sequel or a release plan.
What Tango’s leaders said about the studio’s direction

What players can point to from 2026
Tango’s official news page announced that a physical edition of Hi-Fi RUSH released on March 10, 2026, and says the disc includes all DLC and updates. That is a release announcement for the existing game, not news about Tango’s next project.
