Terminator: Survivors, Nacon Studio Milan’s open-world survival game, will not launch on its planned 2025 schedule. In a December 16, 2025 update, the studio said it had no replacement date to share, dropped the planned early-access launch, and removed cooperative multiplayer. The sources available as of October 8, 2026 do not establish a newer release date.
When is Terminator: Survivors coming out?
There is no confirmed release date or new launch window in the studio’s December 16, 2025 announcement. Nacon Studio Milan said: “We don’t have a new date locked in, but we’ll let you know when we’re ready to share a new release date.” The statement is attributed to creative director Marco Ponte in GameSpot’s report; the update was also reproduced in Pure Xbox’s report.

The studio said the game would miss its planned 2025 launch. As the release date is still unconfirmed in the available reporting, check Nacon Studio Milan’s official channels for any later announcement before making plans around a launch window.
Why was Terminator: Survivors delayed?
Nacon Studio Milan described continued work during 2025 on the game’s world design, combat, narrative depth, and atmosphere. It said months of internal testing and discussions with players and fans informed its decisions about the game’s release approach and features. Those are the studio’s stated reasons and development priorities, not independently verified causes of the delay.

The studio is moving away from early access
Rather than launching in early access, the studio said it wants players’ first experience to be complete and polished. It did not provide a date for that launch.
Cooperative multiplayer has been removed
The studio said it decided to put aside cooperative multiplayer because it believed co-op did not fit the shooting and exploration experience it wanted to create. In its announcement, it said: “After months of internal testing, discussions with players and fans of the license, we came to the conclusion that to give you an authentic Terminator experience with the best possible shooting and exploration gameplay, we would have to put aside the cooperative multiplayer.”

Will there be a beta or playtest?
The studio mentioned several closed playtests under NDA as the launch window gets closer, but it did not announce test dates or promise public access. These are not confirmed open beta tests, and the announcement does not establish how players could participate.
Is Terminator: Survivors still coming out?
The studio’s update changed the release plan but did not say the game was canceled. It described its goal of delivering a complete, polished experience, while leaving the timing unconfirmed.

Another Terminator game has already been released
Terminator 2D: NO FATE is a separate side-scrolling game, not Terminator: Survivors. GameSpot reported that it was released on December 12, 2025. Its release does not indicate a date for Survivors.
