Terrance Ferguson has shown big-play and touchdown upside, but the available numbers do not establish a dependable weekly workload. Through the first three Rams games listed for 2026, he had seven catches for 63 yards and a touchdown; his role relative to Colby Parkinson and the other tight ends remains unclear without comparable route, snap and target data.
How the Rams may use Ferguson
Tight end in the Rams’ offense can mean blocking attached to the line or releasing from a detached alignment as a receiver. In a September 6, 2026 team interview, Ferguson said he felt more comfortable with the system entering his second season and wanted to contribute across all aspects of the job. The interview also described him as capable of playing multiple positions. That is useful role context, not a measured account of his alignments or playing time. Read the Rams interview.
At 6-foot-5, Ferguson is in his second NFL season. The Rams’ unofficial depth chart places him in a tight-end grouping with Colby Parkinson. Davis Allen, Tyler Higbee and Max Klare appear in other groupings. Those labels describe organizational context only: the chart is explicitly unofficial and does not show who runs more routes, gets more targets or plays more passing downs. Ferguson’s production so far
| Season | Games | Receptions | Receiving yards | Touchdowns | Context |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 regular season | 14 | 11 | 231 | 3 | NFL.com lists 21 yards per catch. The Rams’ profile says his six receptions of 25 or more yards were the most by a Rams rookie tight end in the previous 35 years and tied for third-most among NFL tight ends. Rams player profile; NFL.com statistics. |
| 2026 through the first three games listed | 3 | 7 | 63 | 1 | Team and NFL listings show the same receiving totals. This is an early-season snapshot, not a reliable full-season rate. Rams player profile; NFL.com statistics. |
How Ferguson compares with the other Rams tight ends
The available official material supports a comparison of Ferguson’s production and the Rams’ roster groupings, but not a workload ranking. It does not provide comparable snaps, route participation, targets, alignments or red-zone opportunities for Ferguson, Parkinson, Higbee, Allen and Klare. Without those measures, neither the unofficial chart nor Ferguson’s receiving totals can establish who is the Rams’ TE1.

For a useful fantasy or football comparison, look for:
- Routes and route participation, particularly on passing downs.
- Snap counts and inline versus detached alignments.
- Targets and target share.
- Red-zone targets and touchdowns.
- Blocking assignments that affect whether each tight end stays on the field.
Ferguson’s fantasy value
Ferguson’s rookie season gives him a plausible big-play and scoring-upside case: the Rams profile notes his long receptions, and NFL.com lists three touchdowns in 2025. His early 2026 line shows involvement, but three games do not prove that his target volume will hold. The cited figures contain no route, snap or opportunity comparison to show whether he is separating from Parkinson or the other Rams tight ends.

Based on those limits, Ferguson is best treated as speculative upside rather than a secure weekly starter. In a lineup decision, compare current routes, snaps, targets and red-zone work—not depth-chart grouping alone—and weigh that evidence against your scoring format and whether you need a dependable floor or a chance at a big play. The available data does not support a specific fantasy projection.
