These six-answer lists are for the original itch.io release of That’s not my Neighbor (legacy builds through 1.2.0.2). Enter the answers with the spelling shown below. The remastered Steam edition (version 2.0) uses a different, five-question Campaign Mode quiz, so its answers will not work for the original Arcade or Nightmare quiz.

Before entering an answer: identify your version

The developer’s itch.io page labels the older downloads “That’s not my neighbor (1.2.0.2)” and the remake “That’s not my neighbor 2.0.” Existing purchasers can use “I already paid for this” to access newer itch.io files. Check the developer’s download page if you are unsure which build you installed.

The Steam release launched on March 11, 2025 and includes Campaign, Arcade, Nightmare and Custom modes. Its documented Chester event is a five-question Campaign Mode quiz, not the six-question lists in this guide. See the Steam release page.

#1 Best Overall
Question prompt Answer to enter
“What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything else?” Forty Two
“What is the scientific name of the Australian animal that drastically changes its appearance when removed from its natural habitat?” Psychrolutes Marcidus
“What is the name of the only sport that allows you to punch your opponent in the face because they capture a piece?” Chess Boxing
“At least how many times do you have to fold a 0.01mm thick sheet of paper to cover the distance between the Shire and Mordor?” Thirty eight
“The key is hide EQEY QBXM MBIA MWXM XUES MCMS BQIX WUEW AHWY MV?” Uranus
“According to F.S.M. global warming is a consequence of the fact that since the 19th century the number of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ decrease” Pirates

The published key uses the written forms “Forty Two” and “Thirty eight,” not 42 and 38. It also lists Pirates, not “Fewer pirates.”

Original itch.io Nightmare Mode answers

Nightmare Mode uses Evil Chester’s separate six-question set. The unusual spelling in several prompts is part of the displayed text; match the answer, not a corrected version of the question.

Don't Overthink It Conversation Card Game by We’re Not Really Strangers
  • A BOLD NEW GAME FROM WE'RE NOT REALLY STRANGERS — with 150 ‘would you rather’ questions that you didn't know you needed to ask. Reveal sides of your friends, your partner, and yourself that you've never seen before.
  • THREE CATEGORIES - Use the spinner to let fate decide which deck you pull a card from. Land on LIFE for the big questions, LOVE for relationship dilemmas, or for the answers nobody saw coming. With each conversation starter card, the conversations are guaranteed to go places you didn't expect.
  • NO EASY ANSWERS - These questions might feel impossible to answer, and that is by design. Watching other players struggle to choose is half the fun, and the other half is learning more about them, whether you use it as a conversation card couple activity or with a whole group, based on their answers.
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE - Don't overthink it. Your first instinct is the most honest one. This game works best when you stop second-guessing and start saying how you really feel for a fun party game or a relationship card game.
  • WHAT’S INSIDE - 150 unique ‘would you rather’ question cards divided into three categories, and 1 spinner.
Question prompt Answer to enter
“Last name of the man behind the true face of the mask most known to internet users.” Fawkes
“Which number would give you the victory in a contest of writing the larges number with the conventional rules of the Roman numeral system?” MMMDCCCLXXXVIII
“Name of the hairiest lieutenant of World War II.” Wojtek
“Temple where once a god caused the largest pandemic ever seen in all the great darkn and beyond.” Zul’Gurub
“Clave name of the multicelluar organism with the ability to clone anything that touches its rhizome.” SCP-038
“How many numbers are formed with the digits of the cardinality of the parts of a set with the first perfect and happy number of elements?” 45360

The prompts visibly contain errors such as “larges,” “Clave,” “multicelluar” and “darkn.” They are quoted to identify the questions exactly as they appear in the game.

Input rules and common failures

  • Capitalization: capitalization is not important, but spelling is. A misspelling can fail an otherwise correct response. Player guidance on Nightmare input.
  • SCP answer: enter SCP-038. A player-tested guide reports that SCP038 may also be accepted, but the hyphenated form is the documented and safer entry.
  • Written numbers: for Arcade, use Forty Two and Thirty eight, rather than numerals.
  • Version mismatch: if every answer is rejected, confirm that you are not playing the Steam remake or the itch.io 2.0 build. The six-question tables above belong to the original itch.io Arcade and Nightmare quiz. Published answer references.

I Hate My Friends | Hilarious Roast Party Game for Adults | Ages 17+
  • WHAT IS THIS? I Hate My Friends is the party game where roasting your friends isn’t just allowed, it’s the whole point. Just write a friend’s name on the Setup card, let everyone submit their funniest Response card, and watch the chaos unfold as the judge picks the best roast. This hilarious party game for adults turns your inside jokes into brutal (but loving) burns.
  • HOW TO PLAY The judge draws a Setup card and writes a friend’s name (or their own!) in the name spot. For example: “Have you noticed that Olivia always smells like ___?” Everyone else picks the best Response card from the 5 in their hand and places it face down in the middle. The judge reads them out loud and picks the best roast. Winner keeps the Setup card!
  • WHEN TO PLAY Perfect for hangoutd, parties, Friendsgiving, game nights, birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and girls’ trips.
  • WHAT’S IN THE BOX? 100 dry-erase Setup cards, 300 Response cards, and 1 marker. Friends not included.
  • WHO SHOULD PLAY? 3+ players, ages 17+.
Steam Campaign prompt Answer
“In what year was the ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything published?” 1979
“What is the number of different permutations of most relevant Mersenne prime in computing?” 302400
MVWKZIEXN + WFLTENX = 428653855
“How many elements are in the powerset of the set of happy palindromic numbers less than 10,000?” 536870912
“Given that the answer is a natural number with 9 digits, the probability of guessing this question correctly at random is 1 in?” 900,000,000

Seeing these five prompts, rather than the six-question Arcade or Nightmare sequence, confirms that you are in the remastered Steam Campaign event.
