Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteAmazon’s Prime Big Deal Days ran October 7–8, 2025. A HotHardware roundup published October 8 listed ten graphics cards from $118.99 to $999.99, but a discount was not automatically a good buy—and those prices are historical, not current offers. This retrospective compares the cards by use case and value rather than discount percentage. HotHardware’s original list records the models and prices; RTINGS identifies the event dates.
Which of the 2025 GPU deals were most compelling?
For a mainstream gaming PC, the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB was the standout balance of price and memory in the list. The RX 9070 XT was the more compelling step up for demanding 1440p and some 4K gaming. Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti 16GB made sense for buyers who valued DLSS, ray tracing, CUDA-dependent software, or creator-app support. At the budget end, the Arc B580 offered 12GB at a low historical price, provided the system and games suited Intel Arc.
These are value judgments about the October 2025 prices, not claims that any card was the cheapest option across retailers. PC Gamer reported that Newegg, Walmart, Best Buy, or B&H sometimes matched or beat Amazon during the event. Its comparison is a reminder to compare listings, not proof of which retailer is cheapest now. PC Gamer’s event coverage discusses those price comparisons.

Which card fits your games and workload?
Budget and 1080p gaming
The Arc B570 and B580 were the low-cost gaming choices. The B580’s 12GB and stronger positioning make it the more attractive option if the price gap is small. The B570 is easier to justify when it is meaningfully cheaper. Intel Arc performance and compatibility can vary by game, so check benchmarks for the titles you play and enable Resizable BAR on a compatible system. PC Gamer described the B570 as near the previous-generation Arc A770 in performance, while warning that a nearby B580 price can make it hard to recommend. PC Gamer’s GPU price guide provides that contemporary context.
The Arc A380 is a different kind of purchase. HotHardware presented it as a low-cost choice for display, media, and AV1 encoding needs, not as a serious modern AAA gaming card. The exact board determines outputs and display support, so confirm the Sparkle model’s ports and your monitor requirements. Intel’s Arc A-series product information is a useful specification reference.

Mainstream 1440p
The RX 9060 XT 16GB was the clearest all-rounder for buyers prioritizing conventional gaming performance, memory capacity, and price. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is the alternative for those who place greater value on Nvidia’s DLSS features, ray tracing ecosystem, or application support. PC Gamer found the AMD option competitive or faster in conventional gaming at similar prices, while noting that Nvidia may be preferable for some creative workloads. These conclusions depend on the game, settings, and software; check testing relevant to your actual use rather than treating one comparison as universal. PC Gamer’s comparison discusses the trade-off.
The RX 9070 adds performance headroom for 1440p and entry-level 4K. Compare its price with the RTX 5070: the Radeon card has 16GB rather than 12GB, while Nvidia’s feature set and software compatibility may be more valuable for particular games or applications. PC Gamer called the RX 9070 a strong midrange purchase at some prices, not at every price or retailer.

High-refresh 1440p and 4K
The RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 Ti are the higher-performance choices from this list. HotHardware compared the RX 9070 XT favorably with the RTX 5070 Ti at a lower listed price, but that editorial comparison is not a substitute for standardized benchmarks across games, resolutions, and settings. The RTX 5080 was the fastest GPU in the roundup and a plausible 4K choice; its $999.99 price and greater system demands mean that maximum performance, rather than value, is the reason to choose it.
Before choosing among these cards, compare rasterized performance, ray tracing, upscaling and frame generation, and 1% lows in the games you play. A single-game result—such as HotHardware’s cited B580 comparison in Cyberpunk 2077—cannot establish a universal ranking.

How much VRAM do you need?
- 6GB: The A380’s capacity suits basic display and media tasks better than demanding current games.
- 8GB: Often workable for 1080p, but high-resolution textures, larger resolutions, and newer games can make it limiting sooner.
- 10–12GB: A more comfortable range for many mainstream gaming situations, including 1440p, though the result still depends on the GPU’s speed and the game.
- 16GB: More headroom for higher-resolution textures, some newer games, and certain creator workloads. It can be a sensible longevity preference, not a guarantee of higher frame rates.
VRAM is only one part of performance. A slower 16GB card can lose to a faster 8GB model when the workload fits in the smaller memory pool. PC Gamer noted that an 8GB RX 9060 XT could still suit budget buyers even as 16GB may be preferable for longer ownership. Its analysis explains why the premium for extra VRAM is workload-dependent.
When AMD, Nvidia, or Intel is the better fit
Choose Nvidia for specific software and features
DLSS, ray-tracing support, and broad CUDA-based application compatibility can make GeForce cards the safer choice for some gaming and creator workflows. That does not mean every Nvidia card is good value: compare its price and performance with the nearest AMD option, especially when the Nvidia model has less VRAM.

Choose AMD for raster value and memory
The listed Radeon cards offer 16GB across the RX 9060 XT, RX 9070, and RX 9070 XT, and are compelling when conventional gaming performance per dollar is the priority. Ray tracing and upscaling results vary by title, and board-partner models differ in cooling, size, power, and warranty. Check the exact card, not just the GPU name.
Choose Intel when the price and platform make sense
Arc B-series cards can offer strong value at the budget end, while the A380 may suit a low-cost display or media role. Intel’s drivers and game compatibility deserve particular attention; Resizable BAR is important for performance. Consult Intel’s Arc B-series information and the exact board specifications before buying.

- Compare current prices: Check the exact model and condition at Amazon, Newegg, Walmart, Best Buy, and B&H. Do not treat an “original” or “was” price as proof of a genuine saving.
- Inspect the listing: Confirm who sells and ships the card, its condition, the return terms, regional version, and manufacturer warranty. Marketplace listings can differ from the product shown in photos.
- Check physical fit: Measure case clearance for card length, height, thickness, and power-connector bend. “SFF-ready” describes the listed RTX 5070 Ti model; it does not guarantee fit in every small case.
- Confirm power and cooling: Check the exact board’s recommended PSU, connector type, system airflow, and cooler dimensions. Requirements vary among partner cards using the same GPU.
- Check platform and displays: Confirm motherboard and operating-system support, Resizable BAR for Intel Arc, and the exact card’s outputs for your monitors. Consider whether your CPU may limit performance at the resolution and frame rate you target.
- Think about the upgrade: Moving from a recent card to a nearby tier may deliver too little improvement to justify the cost. Compare performance in your games and consider whether you actually need more VRAM or a specific feature.
Are these still live deals?
No. The listed amounts are the prices HotHardware quoted for Amazon’s October 2025 event, not verified current offers. The contemporary PC Gamer price guide recorded different prices on June 29, 2026—including approximately $549 for an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, $680 for an RX 9070 XT, and $900 for an RTX 5070 Ti—so even later snapshots diverged from the original sale. Those figures are dated observations, not current quotes. PC Gamer’s guide documents that June 2026 context. Check live retailer listings before making a purchase.
