Short answer: The standout Cyber Monday 2025 hardware offer was Walmart’s one-day Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle for $449. Nintendo did not broadly discount the standalone Switch 2, so most of the worthwhile savings were on Switch 2 and original Switch games, storage, and accessories. The best original-generation hardware deal was the Switch OLED for about $359 at Amazon.
Historical deal notice: Prices and availability in this roundup were checked during December 1–2, 2025. Cyber Monday was December 1, 2025. These Cyber Monday prices have expired as of August 10, 2026; this article is a dated retrospective, not a currently shoppable deal page.
The 10 best Nintendo Switch Cyber Monday deals
This ranking weighs the real dollar saving, usefulness, platform compatibility, replay value, and ownership format—not just the largest percentage printed in a retailer listing. Every heading identifies the relevant Switch generation because a Switch 2 game, original Switch game, OLED console, and Switch 2 storage card are not interchangeable purchases.
| Rank | Deal | Platform | Historical price | Reference price | Format or status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle | Switch 2 | $449 | $499.99 bundle MSRP | Limited Walmart price; bundle contents should be checked |
| 2 | Switch OLED with white Joy-Con | Original Switch | $359 | About $399.99 | Amazon; availability and membership pricing fluctuated |

| 4 | Sonic X Shadow Generations | Switch 2 | $24.99 | $49.99 | Reported as a virtual or game-key card |
| 5 | Madden NFL 26 | Switch 2 | $29.99 | $69.99 | Best Buy price; stock was volatile |

| 8 | Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack | Original Switch | About $19.99 | $39.99 | Exact edition and price varied by listing |
| 9 | Mario + Rabbids Dual Pack | Original Switch | $14.99 | $29.99 | Digital code in a box; DLC excluded |
| 10 | Samsung 256GB microSD Express card | Switch 2 | About $39.99 | About $59.99 | Correct storage type for Switch 2; not for original-Switch game storage |
1. Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle — best overall hardware deal
Historical price: $449 at Walmart for a limited Cyber Monday promotion, compared with the normal $499.99 bundle price.
This was the clearest answer for anyone who wanted Nintendo’s current console. Nintendo’s U.S. Switch 2 MSRP was $449.99, while Mario Kart World normally cost $79.99 separately. Buying both items at their regular prices would have totaled approximately $529.98. Nintendo’s standard bundle was already about $30 cheaper than that, and Walmart’s $449 offer made the total roughly $80.98 below buying the console and game separately.
Those are three different comparisons: $50.99 below the $499.99 bundle MSRP, about $30 below the standard bundle’s value compared with separate purchases, and about $80.98 below the separate-console-and-game total. It is misleading to call the deal simply $80 off the bundle’s MSRP.
The Walmart price was a limited, while-supplies-last offer that required adding the item to the cart. Tom’s Guide reported the historical Walmart promotion. It was not a permanent Switch 2 price cut, and the exact bundle listing should be checked to confirm how Mario Kart World was supplied.
Best for: A first-time buyer who wants Switch 2 performance and a major multiplayer game immediately.

2. Nintendo Switch OLED with white Joy-Con — best original Switch hardware deal
Historical price: $359 at Amazon, approximately $40 below the usual price.
This was the best deal for shoppers who deliberately wanted the original Switch family rather than Switch 2. The OLED model has the original Switch software library, a brighter and larger OLED display, and the standard Switch docked/handheld design. It remains a sensible choice for a player focused on existing Switch games and handheld viewing quality.
It is not an alternative with the same capabilities as Switch 2. The OLED model does not provide Switch 2 performance, Switch 2-exclusive software, or Switch 2 features such as GameChat. It also uses the original Switch storage-card standard rather than Switch 2’s required microSD Express format.
Coverage of the $359 Amazon price noted fluctuating availability and possible Prime-related pricing. Treat the price as a member or listing-dependent snapshot, not a guaranteed price for every Amazon shopper.
Best for: Handheld players who prioritize the OLED screen and want the lower-cost original Switch ecosystem.
Skip it if: You want Switch 2-exclusive games, faster hardware, or a console that will receive the newest generation’s features and releases.
3. Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition for Switch 2 — best new-game discount
Historical price: $29.99–$30 at Amazon, down from a reported $59.99.

The important qualification is the product format. Retailer pages can distinguish among a physical game card, a game-key card, and downloadable software, and the format may not be obvious from a deal headline. Check the exact Switch 2 listing before paying. NBC Select’s historical roundup and TechRadar’s coverage reported the approximately $30 price.
Best for: A Switch 2 owner looking for a relatively new, content-rich game at half price.
Skip it if: You are buying a gift and cannot verify whether the package contains a cartridge or only a download-based product.

Historical price: $24.99 at Amazon, down from $49.99.
This was a straightforward 50% cut on a prominent Switch 2 platformer. It offered a lower-cost way to get both modern Sonic and Shadow-focused content without paying a new-release price.
Format matters here: GamesRadar+ identified the Switch 2 listing as a virtual or game-key card. A game-key card looks like a physical product but stores only the launch key. The console needs an internet connection to download the game data the first time, enough internal or microSD Express storage for that download, and the card must remain inserted to play. NBC Select also reported the $24.99 price.
Best for: Switch 2 owners who want a recognizable platformer and do not mind a download-dependent physical package.
Skip it if: You want a cartridge containing the complete game or need to play without an initial internet connection.
5. Madden NFL 26 for Switch 2 — biggest percentage cut for sports fans
Historical price: $29.99 at Best Buy, down from $69.99—a saving of $40, or approximately 57%.
This was the largest percentage reduction among the main Switch 2 game deals in the roundup. It made sense for someone who wanted a current football game and expected to play local or online matches throughout the season.
Inventory was particularly unstable. TechRadar reported the $29.99 Best Buy price while noting that Amazon had reportedly sold out. The deal therefore should be described as a Best Buy price observed during the shopping window, not a universal price across retailers.
There is also a normal annual-sports-game trade-off: a large launch-year discount can be attractive, but annual releases often receive further reductions later. If you only play occasionally or do not need the newest roster, waiting may have been reasonable.
Best for: Football fans who wanted Madden NFL 26 specifically and could find the Best Buy listing in stock.
Skip it if: You are buying for a casual player, do not need the current edition, or want a game with a longer content life than an annual sports release.
6. Just Dance 2026 Edition for original Switch — best family and party-game deal
Historical price: $24.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $49.99.

- Travel case
- Protection Library holds 12 game cards and offers full screen and analog stick protection
- microSD Card Case 2pcs, each holds 2 microSD Cards
- Comfortable carrying handle and soft cleaning cloth
The 50% discount made Just Dance 2026 Edition one of the most practical Cyber Monday purchases for families and groups. The edition includes 40 new tracks, and its pick-up-and-play format gives it more immediate party value than many single-player games.
Read the package details carefully, however. The product may promote a subscription or additional online features, and the exact package determines what is included without further payment. This was the original Switch version, not automatically a Switch 2 Edition. An original Switch game generally runs on Switch 2, but Nintendo warns that some titles may not be fully compatible; check Nintendo’s current physical-software compatibility information for the exact product.
Best for: Families, parties, and buyers who want a game that can be enjoyed in short sessions by several players.
Skip it if: You expect a complete song library without checking subscription terms or want a Switch 2-native release.

7. Hogwarts Legacy for Switch 2 — substantial role-playing value
Historical price: $30 at Walmart, down from $49.99.
A roughly 40% cut put this major adventure well below its standard price. It was a stronger proposition than a small discount on a minor accessory for buyers who wanted a large single-player game with substantial exploration.
The historical listing was reported as a Switch 2 game-key card. That means the card does not contain the complete game data: an internet connection is needed for the initial download, and the console needs sufficient internal or microSD Express storage. The card must remain inserted while playing. NBC Select reported the historical $30 offer, and a Slickdeals listing also identified the game-key-card format.
Best for: Switch 2 owners who want a larger single-player game and have reliable internet and enough storage.

8. Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack for original Switch — best two-game physical-library bargain
Historical price: Approximately $19.99 at Amazon, compared with a reported $39.99 regular price.
Two playable games for about $20 was a better value proposition than many isolated discounts. Sonic Mania supplies classic-style platforming, while Team Sonic Racing adds multiplayer racing, giving the bundle a useful mix of solo and group play.
Coverage varied between approximately $19.99 and $24.99 depending on the listing and time, so verify the exact edition and final cart price. Beebom and TechRadar both covered the historical promotion.

9. Mario + Rabbids Dual Pack for original Switch — cheapest two-game deal, with a major catch
Historical price: $14.99 at Amazon, down from $29.99.
This was arguably the cheapest way to add two well-regarded tactical adventures to an original Switch library. The price represented roughly 50% off the listed regular price.
Do not confuse the word Dual Pack with two physical cartridges. The product was reported as a digital code in a box, not a conventional game card, and it did not include the games’ DLC. Redemption requires a Nintendo Account, the games consume storage space, and the code cannot be lent or resold like a cartridge. Hip2Save reported the $14.99 price and digital-code format, while GamesRadar+ also noted the limitation.
Best for: A buyer who is comfortable with digital ownership and wants two inexpensive strategy games.
Skip it if: You are giving a gift to someone who expects a cartridge, want resale value, or require the DLC to be included.
10. Samsung 256GB microSD Express card for Switch 2 — best useful storage upgrade
Historical price: Approximately $39.99, around $20 below the reference price.
This was not merely a generic memory-card discount. It addressed a specific Switch 2 requirement. Switch 2 includes 256GB of internal storage and uses microSD Express cards for storing downloaded games, DLC, and updates. Nintendo’s Cyber Monday announcement advertised selected Samsung microSD Express cards at $20 off MSRP beginning November 30.
Warning: Do not buy an ordinary microSD or microSDXC card for Switch 2 game storage. A regular card that worked in an original Switch cannot simply be moved to Switch 2 for that purpose. Nintendo provides a separate process for importing screenshots and videos, but game storage requires the newer Express format. Save data remains in the console’s system memory. Nintendo explains the storage requirements in its Switch 2 features guide and microSD Express support documentation.
Best for: A new or active Switch 2 owner who expects to download several games or large updates.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesSkip it if: You own only an original Switch, Switch OLED, or Switch Lite. Those systems do not need a Switch 2 microSD Express card.
Strong alternate: Belkin Switch 2 case
Historical price: Approximately $21.99 after clipping an Amazon coupon, from a $29.99 list price.
The Belkin case was a useful low-cost add-on for a new Switch 2 owner, particularly because the Switch 2 is a different physical size from the original Switch family. The advertised final price depended on an on-page coupon: the lower price was not necessarily applied automatically.
Check the cart total and confirm that the case is designed for Switch 2, not the original Switch, OLED, or Lite. GamesRadar+ and NBC Select covered the historical price. This was a compatible third-party accessory; do not infer official Nintendo licensing unless the product listing explicitly states it.

| Buying specifically for the original Switch library | Switch OLED for $359 | Lower entry price and an OLED screen, without paying for Switch 2 features you may not need. |
| Shopping for a family | Just Dance 2026 for $24.99 | Forty new tracks and immediate party appeal, subject to subscription and package terms. |
| Wanting the newest discounted Switch 2 game | Star Wars Outlaws: Gold Edition for about $30 | A roughly 50% reduction on a newer title with additional Gold Edition content. |
| Wanting a platformer | Sonic X Shadow Generations for $24.99 | A prominent Switch 2 game at half price, with a game-key-card download caveat. |
| Wanting sports | Madden NFL 26 for $29.99 | The largest percentage discount in the list, although stock was volatile and annual releases can fall further. |
| Wanting two inexpensive games | Mario + Rabbids Dual Pack for $14.99 | Two games at a very low price, provided digital ownership and no DLC are acceptable. |
| Expanding Switch 2 storage | Samsung 256GB microSD Express for about $39.99 | It uses the storage standard Switch 2 actually requires. |
| Protecting a new Switch 2 | Belkin case for about $21.99 after coupon | A low-cost model-specific accessory, provided the coupon is clipped. |
Switch 2 or Switch OLED: which deal made sense?
The two console offers were aimed at different buyers, not simply different versions of the same product.
- Choose Switch 2 if you want the current hardware, Switch 2-exclusive games, improved performance, GameChat, and the ability to use newer software. Budget for microSD Express storage if you download heavily.
- Choose Switch OLED if your priority is the original Switch catalog, handheld screen quality, and a lower purchase price. It does not deliver Switch 2 performance or run Switch 2-only software.
- Choose Switch Lite only if the lowest-cost handheld form factor matters most and you do not need TV play. None of the ranked console deals was a Switch Lite offer.
Original Switch software generally works on Switch 2, but compatibility is not an unconditional guarantee for every title or accessory. Nintendo separates original Switch software, Switch 2 software, and Switch 2 Edition software. Check the exact game on Nintendo’s physical-software and compatibility support page before buying on the assumption that generations are interchangeable.

Game-key cards, cartridges, and digital codes are not the same
Several of the most attractive prices were easy to misread because the package may look physical while the ownership experience is partly digital.
- Physical game card: The game data is supplied on a cartridge, though updates may still be required.
- Game-key card: The card stores the launch key, not the complete game. An internet connection is required for the first download, adequate storage is required, and the card must stay inserted while playing.
- Digital code in a box: There is no cartridge. You redeem a code to a Nintendo Account, download the software, and cannot lend or resell it as a physical game.
- Downloadable software: The purchase is redeemed directly through a Nintendo Account and requires storage for the complete download.
The Switch 2 versions of Sonic X Shadow Generations and Hogwarts Legacy were specifically reported as game-key-card products. The Mario + Rabbids Dual Pack was reported as a digital code in a box and excluded DLC. For the Star Wars deal, Madden, Just Dance, and the Sonic double pack, the exact retailer listing and edition should be checked rather than inferred from the deal headline. Nintendo’s explanation of physical software and game-key cards is available through its official support page.

How to check a Switch deal before checkout
- Confirm the generation. Look for Switch 2, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, original Nintendo Switch, OLED, or Lite in the product title. A page saying only Nintendo Switch is not precise enough.
- Confirm the exact edition. Gold, Deluxe, standard, bundle, and dual-pack labels can change included content. Do not assume a season pass or DLC is included.
- Check the format. Identify whether you are receiving a cartridge, game-key card, digital code in a box, or direct download.
- Check storage requirements. Switch 2 game storage requires microSD Express. A conventional Switch microSD card is not the correct replacement.
- Check the price qualification. Clip any Amazon coupon, and account for Prime, Walmart+, loyalty-program, or other membership requirements. Record both the displayed price and the final price after the discount.
- Check the seller. Verify whether the item is sold and shipped by the named retailer or by a marketplace seller. A low price may represent an import, used item, renewed product, or different edition.
- Check stock in the cart. A search result or product page can remain visible after inventory is gone. The deal is only real if the exact item is purchasable at the advertised price after adding it to the cart.
- Check delivery and returns. Confirm the shipping date, tax, shipping charge, and return window before placing the order. These can change the effective price or matter if the listing is a gift.
Why the biggest percentage discount was not always the best deal
Madden NFL 26 had the largest percentage reduction in this list, but that does not automatically make it the best purchase for every reader. A sports fan may get far more use from it than from a discounted adventure game, while someone who plays annual releases may prefer to wait for a later price drop.
The same principle applies to accessories and storage. A $20 saving on a microSD Express card can be more useful to a digital-heavy Switch 2 owner than a larger percentage reduction on an unwanted game. Conversely, a standard microSD card may be cheaper and perfectly suitable for an original Switch, but it is the wrong product for Switch 2 game storage.
For that reason, claims such as lowest ever or record low should be treated carefully. NBC Select said it used price trackers where possible, while some deal publications used their own observed historical pricing. Those claims should be attributed to the reporting source rather than presented as a universal, independently proven fact.
Official Nintendo offers beyond the ranked retailer deals
Nintendo’s 2025 holiday announcement included selected first-party games at $39.99, another group at $29.99, selected amiibo at $10 off MSRP, and selected Samsung microSD Express cards at $20 off MSRP. Nintendo’s physical-game offers began November 23 at participating retailers, while the eShop Cyber Deals promotion continued through December 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
That longer eShop window is why a December 2 or December 3 reader could still find Nintendo digital discounts after a one-day Walmart or Amazon hardware promotion had disappeared. It does not mean that every retailer deal in this list lasted until December 3. Digital prices, physical prices, inventory, and coupon eligibility each had their own conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Were these Nintendo Switch Cyber Monday 2025 deals still available now?
No. The prices were a historical snapshot checked during December 1–2, 2025. As of August 10, 2026, the retailer promotions and Nintendo’s eShop Cyber Deals sale have ended.
Can a regular Nintendo Switch microSD card be used for Switch 2 game storage?
No. Switch 2 requires a microSD Express card for storing downloaded games, DLC, and updates. A regular microSD card from an original Switch cannot simply be moved to Switch 2 for game storage, although Nintendo provides a separate process for importing screenshots and videos.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Is a Switch 2 game-key card the same as a physical cartridge?
No. A game-key card stores only the key needed to start the download. It requires an internet connection for the initial download, enough internal or microSD Express storage, and the card must remain inserted while playing.
Was the $449 Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle an $80 discount?
It was about $80.98 cheaper than buying the $449.99 console and $79.99 game separately. Compared with Nintendo’s $499.99 bundle MSRP, however, the Walmart price was about $50.99 lower. Those are different comparison points.
Is the $359 Switch OLED a substitute for Switch 2?
Only for buyers who want the original Switch library and OLED screen at a lower price. Switch OLED does not provide Switch 2 performance, Switch 2-exclusive games, or newer Switch 2 features.
The Bottom Line
The strongest Cyber Monday 2025 purchase was the $449 Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle if you wanted Nintendo’s current console. For existing hardware, the best values were the roughly $30 Switch 2 games, the $24.99 Just Dance 2026 family deal, the $14.99 Mario + Rabbids digital bundle, and the Samsung 256GB microSD Express card for Switch 2.
