Who are the best strikers in FM24?
Sortitoutsi describes its FM24 best-striker list as based on current ability (CA), a measure of how good a player is in the database at the start, rather than how good they might become. Its displayed ranking gives this 15-player sequence:

- Harry Kane
- Robert Lewandowski
- Lautaro Martínez
- Heung-Min Son
- Victor Osimhen
- Gabriel Jesus
- Karim Benzema
- Cristiano Ronaldo

This is a third-party database ranking, not an official Sports Interactive award or a promise of match-engine performance. The players span different ages, roles and circumstances; they are not equally available, affordable or interchangeable in every save.
What does “currently” mean in this FM24 list?
Here, “currently” means the player data in Football Manager 2024, not current real-world form. Sports Interactive announced its final main data update on 29 February 2024. The company said the update included more than six million data changes and changes to Current Ability ratings and attributes for tens of thousands of players. Its notice began: “Football Manager 2024’s Main Data Update* is now live across all platforms.” (Sports Interactive, 29 February 2024.)

Those changes require a new save. An existing career may still use an earlier database state, and a custom database can alter the players or ratings. If a player’s attributes do not match the list, check the database selected when starting the save before treating it as a contradiction.
How to choose a striker for your save
Overall current ability is a useful starting point, but the right signing depends on more than a place on the list. Compare these factors before committing your budget:

- Acquire and train players, hire doctors, trainers, and other sports professionals then develop your stadium, attract sponsors, and play matches against other teams.

- Ability now versus potential: CA is about present ability; potential ability (PA) concerns a player’s possible future level. A high ceiling does not make a player the stronger immediate option.
- Age and development horizon: An established striker may offer more immediate impact, while a younger player gives you more time to develop him. The ranking itself does not establish a single best choice for every club.
- Position and role: Check the player’s attributes against your tactic and intended striker role. The listed players should not be assumed to perform identically in different systems.
- Cost and contract context: Sortitoutsi displays financial and contract fields where available, but those are database or page estimates. Treat them as source-specific, and check the player’s terms in your own save; figures can vary with the game version, save and custom data.
Which young strikers have the highest potential in FM24?
If you are planning for development rather than immediate strength, Football Manager Blog’s FM24 wonderkid figures offer a separate comparison. These are the page’s database values for age, CA and PA—not guaranteed ratings at the end of a save:
