Steam’s Autumn Sale ran through December 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. Pacific. The prices below are historical regional examples reported during that event, not current offers. There was no single objectively best deal: the right pick depended on the game you wanted, its price in your Steam region, and the discount attached to that price.
When did the Steam Autumn Sale 2024 end?
Valve’s November 27, 2024 announcement said the sale ran “through December 4th at 10am PST” and featured “thousands of games, of all sorts of genres and themes.” That date has passed; this is a guide to reported offers from the 2024 event, not a list of live discounts. The sale also marked the deadline for nominations in 11 categories for the 2024 Steam Awards. Valve’s announcement gives the original timing and details.

How should you judge a Steam deal?
A large percentage cut does not automatically make a game the right purchase. Compare three things: whether the game suits your preferred genre or play style, its actual price in your Steam region, and the discount or regular-price context reported for that same region. The reports above highlight selected offers; they do not document every game in the event.
Valve’s Steamworks documentation says games can participate in seasonal sales and that a discount of at least 20% triggers an email notification to players who have wishlisted that game. This explains one way Steam surfaces some discounts; it does not mean every title had the same markdown or that a listed price was a historical low. Steamworks discount documentation describes the platform policy.

Was Steam Deck discounted during the 2024 Autumn Sale?
Yes, Valve’s November 27 announcement said select Steam Deck LCD units were discounted “where supplies remain.” It specified 64GB models at 15% off in the EU, and 512GB models at 25% off in the U.S. and Canada. These were regional hardware offers from the 2024 sale; the announcement does not establish that the same discounts or availability remain today. Valve’s sale announcement contains the offer details.
