When does The Duskbloods release?

Players and premise
Nintendo lists online play for one to eight players; FromSoftware’s announcement also says the game supports up to eight. Its announcement frames the story around the Bloodsworn, people empowered by special blood who compete for “First Blood” as humanity approaches twilight. That is the announced story premise, not a complete description of final missions or mechanics.
Why this is a Switch 2 project
In the 2025 interview, Miyazaki said the project began after discussions with Nintendo as a small-team Nintendo Switch project. As the concept developed, it moved to Switch 2, whose newer hardware let the team focus more on online play and pursue the original vision. He also said the project should not be read as a move away from single-player games: FromSoftware intended to continue making single-player-focused titles in its traditional style.

What do you need to play online?
Nintendo says online features require an internet connection, a Nintendo Account, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately. Nintendo notes that availability may vary by country and that terms apply.
What is confirmed about the edition and other details?
Nintendo’s US store listing identifies the edition as digital and says the game does not support Save Data Cloud backup. Those are details of that regional listing, not confirmation of the complete worldwide edition lineup. The official sources cited here do not establish a price, physical-cartridge edition, or complete regional availability.

Was there a network test?
Nintendo’s June 9, 2026 roundup referred to a closed network test planned for summer 2026. Nintendo later posted network-test application information on July 17, 2026.
