These specifications come from the Steam store listing. Check both whether the game is installed on an SSD and whether that drive has the required available space. Falling below a listed requirement can point to a compatibility issue, but it does not identify the cause of a specific crash; meeting the minimum does not guarantee a crash-free game.
Update the game, then identify when it crashes
Make sure the game is up to date before troubleshooting further. Then note whether it closes during launch, during a particular repeatable action, or at unpredictable times during play. A black screen followed by shutdown, a gameplay crash, and stuttering are different symptoms; reports of one do not establish the cause of another.

Historical announcements show that some crashes were tied to narrow conditions:
- Specific combat input: Patch notes dated April 22, 2025, reported a fix for a crash that could occur if the player repeatedly pressed the Phantom Form key while using a brutal attack against an exhausted enemy. This describes a particular gameplay trigger, not a universal startup or stability fix. The patch notes were reproduced in a Steam community post.
- Effect processing and memory use: A June 27, 2025 hotfix announcement said it fixed a crash caused by excessive memory use during effect processing. That establishes a past issue, not the status or cause of unrelated crashes in a later build. The announcement was reproduced in a Steam community post.
A May 17, 2025 Steam announcement about an issue following the May 16 hotfix concerned items that appeared to be obtained from fields or chests but were not actually acquired. It did not describe a general crash fix. Read the Steam Community announcement.

Treat community workarounds as unverified
Community posts have discussed different PC symptoms, including launch shutdowns and gameplay crashes, and one Steam discussion proposes running the game executable as administrator. That is an individual suggestion, not an officially validated fix or a reliable solution for every system. Be cautious about changing executable permissions or modifying game files, and do not assume that a graphics or driver issue is the explanation just because a crash occurs on PC. The available information does not establish a current, universal driver version or crash-specific setting that resolves all Khazan PC crashes. Avoid treating reinstalling the game, changing graphics settings, disabling security software, editing DLLs, or buying hardware as a guaranteed fix without evidence tied to your symptoms.

Contact support if the crashes continue
Steam lists the official support email as [email protected]. Include details that help support distinguish a launch failure from a gameplay-triggered crash:
- Your PC specifications and Windows version.
- Your graphics card and driver version.
- The game version, if available.
- When the crash occurs and whether you can reproduce it with a particular action.
- Any error message shown.
The contact is listed on the Steam store page. Providing the symptom and system details is more useful than assuming a historical patch fix applies to your current crash.
