What the promotion offered
The offer was for the Coil Rocket Voltic, a vehicle in GTA Online—not a free copy or download of Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar included it among three rotating special-vehicle rewards in the Community Series Showcase. The announcement was reproduced in a Steam News post dated March 13, 2026, by Changelog.gg.

The wider Community Series Showcase ran March 12 through April 1, 2026. Its free LSIA Vehicle Warehouse was a separate event benefit; the Rocket Voltic’s own claim period was shorter.
Why you cannot claim it now
The Rocket Voltic’s Warstock window closed on March 25, 2026. News24’s report on March 24 corroborated that end date. The available information does not establish that Rockstar has since made the vehicle free again, so an old promotion notice or guide should not be treated as evidence of a current offer.

How claiming it worked during the offer
These are historical instructions, not a live claim route. Contemporaneous coverage said players could open Warstock Cache & Carry on the in-game phone while in GTA Online and select the Coil Rocket Voltic at no cost during the promotion. The event announcement specified that a Vehicle Warehouse was needed for the special vehicles; contemporaneous reporting identified it as the Rocket Voltic’s storage prerequisite.
That prerequisite did not extend the deadline. Owning a Vehicle Warehouse now will not reopen the expired promotion.
