When did The Last of Us Part II Remastered release on PC?
The PC version launched on April 3, 2025, through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Naughty Dog announced the port on December 12, 2024, and named Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios as development partners. The official PlayStation product page lists a PC edition.

What is included in the PC edition?
The release includes Ellie and Abby’s single-player campaign and the remaster’s additional modes and content. Alongside the campaign, players can access No Return, a roguelike survival mode; Lost Levels, which presents sections cut during development; Guitar Free Play; Speedrun Mode; and Photo Mode. Naughty Dog’s announcement also highlights developer commentary.

What PC features and controls are available?
The PC edition includes a graphics menu with adjustable texture, level-of-detail distance, volumetric, shadow, ambient-occlusion, and reflection settings. Display and performance options include VSync, frame-rate caps, and an uncapped option. The publisher lists Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution and Frame Generation, AMD FSR 3.1 and FSR 4, Intel XeSS, and DirectStorage. HDR is also listed. Availability and results depend on compatible hardware and settings.
Ultrawide and super-ultrawide aspect ratios and multi-monitor compatibility are supported, subject to the display and system setup. For controls, players can use remappable keyboard and mouse bindings, supported gamepads, or a DualSense controller. A wired DualSense connection is required to use the full range of in-game DualSense features. The game’s 3D audio can be set up for built-in TV speakers or analogue or USB stereo headphones.

Official PC system requirements
PlayStation’s US product page lists the following Windows PC targets. Each tier specifies Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, version 1909 or higher, and a 150 GB SSD. The frame rates and resolutions are publisher targets, not a guarantee for every system or an independent performance test.

Compare your CPU, GPU, memory, Windows version, and available SSD space with the tier closest to your goal. A listed GPU by itself does not guarantee a particular frame rate, since performance also depends on the rest of the system and chosen settings.

Does the PC version require a PlayStation Network account?
No. PlayStation Network sign-in is optional. Linking an account enables the PlayStation overlay and trophies, and the launch announcement offered 50 in-game points and an Ellie skin featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The Epic Games Store listing also advertises achievements and cloud saves.

The launch feature announcement added Bill and Marlene as playable No Return characters, alongside four maps: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Naughty Dog said these additions, their associated trophies, and other fixes would also arrive on PS5 in a free 2.0.0 update on the PC launch date.

Who developed the PC version?
Naughty Dog identified Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios as development partners for the PC edition. Game Director Matthew Gallant said the team aimed to make the game feel good on the new platform and deliver the performance and features PC players expect. He also highlighted its story, combat, behind-the-scenes commentary, and No Return mode.
PlayStation describes the game as having “over 300 Game of the Year awards” on its product page. That is the publisher’s promotional claim, not an independently audited tally.
