There is no evidence that The Legend of Zelda: Temple of Seasons is a separate official Nintendo game. The Temple of Seasons is a location in the 2001 Game Boy Color game The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. The same name has also appeared in 2026 coverage of a fan-made ROM hack based on that game, so the difference depends on which use of “Temple of Seasons” you mean.
What does “Temple of Seasons” refer to?
The temple in the official game
In Oracle of Seasons, the Temple of Seasons is part of the story, not a standalone title. Onox sinks it into the subterranean land of Subrosia, throwing Holodrum’s seasons into disarray. Link’s central tool, the Rod of Seasons, changes the environment to open routes and enable traversal. The combined Oracle games reference describes the games’ settings, mechanics, and story.

The fan-made project
A 2026 PlayCentral report uses Temple of Seasons for a fan-made ROM hack by a developer named Jay. The report describes it as a modification of Oracle of Seasons, distributed as a patch rather than a complete game, and says it requires a suitable US Oracle of Seasons ROM as its base. It also highlights a swordless premise. The report does not establish the project’s current version or availability, and these details should be understood as reported rather than as independently verified project information. How does it compare with Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages?
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are the two official, related Game Boy Color adventures released in 2001. They are not alternate names for one game. Seasons focuses on changing the environment; Ages centers on the Harp of Ages and travel between the past and present. Their adventures take place in Holodrum and Labrynna, respectively, and the games can be linked through passwords or a Game Link Cable.
