The Road to Salvation is a side mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Speak with Star at the Detention Center, search the Factory for Serpentine and the Product 81 documents, then escape and report back. The quest overlaps with the main mission “Answers Come At A Price,” but its objectives focus on Star’s men and Serpentine.
How to start The Road to Salvation in Stalker 2
Find Star at the Detention Center and speak with him to begin the side mission. TheGameSlayer reports that it becomes available after “Behind Seven Seals” and runs alongside the main mission “Answers Come At A Price.”

How to find Star’s men at the Factory
Travel west from the Detention Center to the Factory in the Garbage region. Ward soldiers patrol the area. The guides describe both stealth and direct combat as possible approaches; TheGameSlayer says guards can be avoided or taken out quietly, while Gamer Guides cautions that an aggressive approach may affect whether Star’s man survives. Gamer Guides also reports the mission can still be completed.

Search the Factory’s upper floors before going down to the basement. Guides place Serpentine, a Spark member held prisoner, in a locked room upstairs. Game8 says to break the door lock with your knife and speak with him.

Keep the main mission separate
The Factory is also part of “Answers Come At A Price.” That main-mission route can involve separate information about Nestor. For this side mission, follow the objectives concerning Serpentine, Star’s men, and the Product 81 documents rather than treating every Factory clue as part of the same objective chain.
How to find the Product 81 documents
Continue into the basement and follow the active objective marker. TheGameSlayer lists 2605 as the basement keypad code and describes a Bloodsucker and an electric anomaly along the route. It places the documents in a room with a fire sprout. Gamer Guides instead describes Product 81 Specifications near a dead member of Star’s group, with Electro and Thermal anomalies nearby; it recommends throwing a Bolt to trigger the Thermal Anomaly before crossing.

These walkthroughs differ on some basement details and item placement. If the room or route does not match, use the current in-game objective as your guide rather than assuming the documents are in the same spot described by another walkthrough.

Escape the Factory and report to Star
TheGameSlayer gives 2603 as the code for a further locked door and says the escape continues through tunnels. Game8 also describes escaping with Scar. Once outside, return to the Detention Center and report to Star.

Reward for The Road to Salvation
TheGameSlayer reports that handing over the Product 81 documents and completing the quest rewards the PSZ-7 Military Body Armor. Game8’s reward section does not confirm a reward, so treat this as a guide-reported item rather than an independently verified reward.
