The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature is an expansion about Fairy life, balance and remedies, and self-reliant outdoor living—not just a new world to visit. Released July 10, 2025, it requires The Sims 4 and all game updates. This guide explains what the pack adds, how to start its main systems, and which Fairy interactions depend on other expansions.
What does Enchanted by Nature add?
The expansion adds Innisgreen, a new world with three neighborhoods, alongside Fairies, an Apothecary system for crafting elixirs and cures, and Natural Living skills for meeting needs outdoors. Its systems can shape play beyond the new map: Sims can pursue Fairy abilities, manage balance and Ailments, or learn to live with less conventional household infrastructure.
- Coast of Adhmor: a seaside village.
- Sprucederry Grove: a place where shops and homes blend with nature.
- Everdew: a magical forest.
EA lists 163 Build Mode items and 181 Create-a-Sim items for the pack. These are storefront content counts, not a measure of how much gameplay the expansion offers. The digital expansion requires the base game; it is not a standalone game. EA’s Enchanted by Nature listing
How to become a Fairy in The Sims 4
- In Create a Sim, select Pick an Occult! and choose Fairy. You can also use Add a Sim > Add Occult Sim to add one to a household.
- Choose the Fairy’s appearance. Fairies have a regular Sim form and a Fairy form; you can edit them separately or link selected features with filters.
- Keep in mind that Sims of any age can become Fairies, but wings and powers appear only when they become Teens.
Fairies can follow a Harmonious path, oriented toward helping living things find health and balance, or a Discordant path focused on mischief. Their abilities include nurturing plants, manipulating objects, and changing other Sims’ moods. The choice is a play-style distinction, not a universally better route.

Fairies also have Emotional Starvation. They can absorb emotions directly from Sims or use bottled Emotion Potions to meet this need. They shed Fairy Dust in small piles around the lot; select a pile and choose Collect Fairy Dust. Dust can enchant plants and bring Gnomes to life. EA Help’s Fairies guide
How balance, Ailments, and Apothecary work
Imbalance can slow skill acquisition or make everyday needs harder to manage. Severe imbalance can lead to Ailments, which may have both drawbacks and useful effects. For example, Greenie Meanie makes Gardening tasks faster while leaving a Sim angry and prone to outbursts. Other named Ailments include Emotional Void, Simoleon Fever, and Sonic Sinuses.

- Customize your Sims’ looks and their home with new family fashion and build items. Give the kids’ bedrooms extra personality, remodel the kitchen to feel homier, and let your Sims express their sporty or artistic sides with new outfits.
Making cures and elixirs
- Use the Apothecary Table to make Elixirs and cures; the Apothecary skill supports this crafting loop.
- Gather ingredients through gardening and foraging. EA names Lightning Root and Aura Blossom among the ingredients Sims can find this way.
- Use the appropriate cure to address an Ailment. Steam’s 2025 listing describes eight Ailments, a cure for each, and fourteen additional recipes.
Practicing Apothecary can support the Elixir Enthusiast Aspiration or lead into the Naturopath profession, in which Sims cure fellow Sims. Steam lists the Naturopath career as having ten levels (Valve/Steam, 2025). Steam’s Enchanted by Nature listing
Using luck charms
Luck can affect activities including careers, romance, cooking, and foraging. Sims can find or purchase two luck charms, or craft them at the Apothecary Table, to change their luck.

How Sims live outdoors
Natural Living lets Sims meet needs outside rather than relying on a conventional furnished home. They can sleep on the ground, use a Privy Bush, and forage or catch food. These activities can feel uncomfortable at first; Sims become more comfortable as their Natural Living skill rises. The Nature Nomad Aspiration is tied to this style of play.
The pack also adds living houseplants that need water, care, and companionship, plus three magical outdoor plant types: Aura Bloom, Lightning Root, and Mood Bush (Electronic Arts, 2025). Natural Living suits a self-reliant outdoor household; conventional home living remains an alternative, rather than something the expansion requires players to give up.

Which Fairy interactions require other packs?
Some Fairy features connect to other expansions. They are cross-pack extras and do not come from owning Enchanted by Nature alone.

Which Enchanted by Nature play style fits you?
- Choose Fairy play if you want an occult transformation, abilities, and a choice between helping and mischief. Apothecary and outdoor living are separate systems to explore as well.
- Choose non-Fairy Apothecary play if crafting elixirs, treating Ailments, or pursuing the Naturopath profession is more appealing than playing a Fairy.
- Choose Natural Living if you want the challenge and progression of meeting needs outdoors rather than furnishing a conventional home.
- Value Innisgreen on its own terms: the pack’s new world and its systems are part of the expansion, while the listed animal and occult cross-pack interactions require the relevant additional DLC.
