The currently surfaced listing is maintained by adeepindigo and offers two base versions: Middle School and Junior High. Choose one, check its dependencies, and verify the creator’s latest compatibility notes after every game patch.
What the Pre-Teen Mod changes
ItsKatato’s original Pre-Teen Mod (Base) was designed to bridge the visual and gameplay gap between child and teen. Its description says that when a child ages up to a teenager, the mod assigns a pre-teen trait, enrolls the Sim in middle school, and makes the Sim shorter than adults. It also describes faster and more frequent phases, voice cracks, and basic hygiene interactions such as applying lotion, body spray, and deodorant.

The height effect comes from Luumia’s height slider, which the creator credits as its source. The mod does not provide a functional slider for adjusting a Sim’s height. The current adeepindigo listing identifies the project as adopted from ItsKatato and offers two base versions. Install only one of them.

Choose Middle School if you want pre-teens placed in a separate middle-school setup. Choose Junior High if you prefer them to remain in regular high school, especially if following them there with High School Years is important to you.
The adopted listing says it disables romance interactions for pre-teens in the base mod and describes separate romance options as planned for a First Crush pack. That is the listing’s stated behavior and plan, not an independently verified gameplay result.

Requirements and add-on dependencies
Dependencies vary by feature; the listing does not say that every named pack or mod is needed for the base version.
- Lumpinou’s Mood Pack Mod: named as a mod requirement by the adopted listing.
- Snowy Escape: used for some animations. The listing says those animations will be missing if you do not own the pack.
- Parenthood: listed as a requirement for the Phases package.
Before downloading, compare the feature you want with its stated pack requirement, and check the download notes for any other dependencies. Do not treat a requirement for an add-on as a requirement for every version of the base mod.

Compatibility notes and conflicts
The adopted listing says a separate Education Overhaul compatibility file is no longer needed. For KS My School Life (Better Schools), it gives a specific instruction: delete SmarterHomework.package, because it conflicts with shared tuning the listing says is needed for several mods, including Education Overhaul, Delinquent Teens, Dynamic Teen Life, and Preteens.
The listing also names Zerbu’s Go to School Mod as a conflict. These are creator-provided notes, not a guarantee that every combination of mods or every version will work together. Check the current download notes for the versions you use.

Does it work with the latest Sims 4 update?
The surfaced creator listing does not establish a dated compatibility confirmation for the latest game update, so current compatibility is unconfirmed here. Check adeepindigo’s latest post or download notes before enabling the mod after a patch.
EA advises checking a mod creator’s site after a game update because an outdated mod can cause problems. In its September 22, 2026 update, EA also said one of its top automated crash reports was traced to outdated mod files. How to install the mod on PC or Mac
EA’s general instructions apply to community mods; follow the creator’s own installation notes too, particularly if the download includes multiple files.
- Download and extract: Download the files from a source you trust. If the download is compressed, unzip it first.
- Move the files: Put the mod files in the Sims 4 Mods folder. EA’s installation guide provides the folder and setup details.
- Enable mods: In the game, open Game Options and enable Custom Content and Mods.
- Restart the game: Relaunch so the setting takes effect, then check that the mod appears as expected.
- Recheck after patches: Before turning the mod back on after a game update, review the creator’s current compatibility notes.
EA says mods are available for PC and Mac, not PlayStation or Xbox. EA also says it does not screen or support specific community mods. Its mods policy states: “Maxis and EA don’t pre-screen, endorse, or support specific Mods or Custom Content.”
