For PC or Mac, EA says the EA app has replaced Origin as its main download and launch platform. Mac users need macOS Catalina or later to run the EA app. See EA Help’s current platform and download guidance for supported options and any updated requirements.
How to add The Sims 4 to your EA app library
- Open the EA app and sign in to your EA Account.
- Search for “The Sims 4.”
- Open the game’s page and select Download.
- Check the install location and language, then select Next.
- Review the terms of play and select Download.
- Wait for the Play button to appear; EA says that means the download is ready.
If you prefer Steam or Epic Games on PC or Mac, find The Sims 4 in that storefront and use its current download flow instead. Console players should use the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store for their console.
