S4MRT, or “Marketplace Remover,” is a Sims 4 mod by Just_Joe_ that the creator says removes the in-game Marketplace and shopping-cart interface. It also moves pack selection to the Escape menu. The creator’s post says to install its .package file in the game’s Mods folder, but lists support for a specific game version, so check the creator’s latest post before installing it after an update.
What does the Marketplace Remover mod do?
The creator describes S4MRT as removing the Marketplace and shopping-cart UI. The creator also says that “pack selection” moves to the Escape menu, where the option is embedded in the Marketplace. This is a change to the visible interface; the description does not say the mod disables EA’s purchasing systems or changes which content your account owns. See Just_Joe_’s S4MRT post.

Place the file in The Sims 4 Mods folder, as the creator instructs.

Check the creator’s post for compatibility with your installed game version before launching the game. The available post names version 1.123.66.1030; it does not establish compatibility with later updates.
Will it remove Moola or stop Marketplace purchases?
There is no indication in the creator’s description that S4MRT removes Moola, changes EA’s purchase systems, or revokes content you already own. EA describes the Marketplace as its official in-game storefront for Maker Packs and EA-made Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits; Moola is the virtual currency used for Marketplace purchases. Can you still use mods and custom content from the web?
Yes. EA says its mod policy continues to allow creators to distribute mods and custom content outside the Marketplace, subject to the policy’s terms. That does not mean every item sold in the Marketplace is available from another source: EA says content offered elsewhere is not eligible for sale in the Marketplace. What should you know about Kits and platform availability?
EA’s Marketplace FAQ says that, starting with the Marketplace launch on March 17, 2026, Kits became exclusive to the in-game Marketplace on PC and Mac; players who already owned Kits keep them in their libraries. The FAQ says console timing would follow later but does not specify a date for each console platform. These Marketplace details are separate from S4MRT: the creator’s cited compatibility note does not establish which platforms the mod supports. Read EA’s Marketplace FAQ.

How current is the mod’s compatibility information?
The creator’s post names The Sims 4 version 1.123.66.1030 as supported. That is a version-specific statement, not confirmation that the mod works with every later patch or on every platform. The cited information does not include an independent compatibility test. Check the creator’s current download or update post against your installed game version before using the mod.
