There is no single strongest Electric Pokémon in every game or battle. For a clear, comparable ranking, this article uses one specific measure: total base stats among fully evolved Electric types in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, as listed by Game8. By that measure, Miraidon ranks first. That is a stat-total result, not proof that it wins every matchup or dominates every competitive format.
What “strongest” means here
Pokémon Support’s answer to “What is the strongest Pokémon?” is that video-game strength depends a lot on how a Pokémon is trained. Its support article, updated January 30, 2026, makes the broader point that strength depends on the challenge, too: Pokémon Support: What is the strongest Pokémon?

To make a ranked list possible, the comparison below uses the total of a Pokémon’s six base stats, limited to fully evolved Electric types in Scarlet and Violet. The figures come from Game8’s comparison, Best Electric Type Pokemon | Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). They describe that source’s scope and metric; they are not a universal battle ranking or an official competitive tier list.
The strongest Electric Pokémon by total base stats
| Rank | Pokémon | Total base stats | What the comparison establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Miraidon | 670 | Game8’s fully evolved Electric-type comparison lists 100 HP, 85 Attack, 100 Defense, 135 Special Attack, 115 Special Defense, and 135 Speed. |
| 2 | Raging Bolt | 590 | Game8’s comparison lists 125 HP and 137 Special Attack; its listed total is 590. |
The available comparison establishes these two placements and totals, not a complete, verified ordering of every eligible species. Its publication date is not established here, so the figures should be read as the values shown in that source rather than as a newly verified update.

Why Miraidon leads this stat-based ranking
Game8 lists Miraidon at 670 total base stats, with 135 Special Attack and 135 Speed. Those numbers make its profile notably strong in special offense and speed, while its 100 HP, 100 Defense, and 115 Special Defense give it substantial defensive stats as well. The total explains why it sits first under this article’s chosen metric; it does not determine the outcome of a specific battle.
Why Raging Bolt is a different kind of contender
Raging Bolt’s listed total is 590, below Miraidon’s, but its distribution is not simply a smaller version of Miraidon’s: the comparison gives it 125 HP and 137 Special Attack. A total compresses six stats into one number, so it cannot show by itself how a Pokémon’s speed, bulk, and offense fit a particular matchup.

- Choose either Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly, to be your first partner Pokémon before setting off on your journey through Paldea.
- Embark on an independent study called the Treasure Hunt to gain new experiences, meet new people, and find your very own treasure.
Why Zeraora is called one of the strongest in the Pokédex
The official Pokédex identifies Zeraora as Electric type, lists Volt Absorb, and says: “When it stops limiting itself, it’s in the strongest class of electric Pokémon.” See the official Zeraora Pokédex entry. That line is in-universe description, not a measured placement in a game-stat ranking or a competitive tier list.

Total base stats are useful for a consistent numerical comparison, but battle strength depends on more than the sum. A matchup-based or tournament ranking would need a defined game and ruleset, eligible forms, individual stat distribution, abilities, moves, battle mechanics, and opponent context. The sources used for this list do not establish current tournament usage or win rates across official formats, so they cannot support a claim that any Electric type is currently the best competitive choice.

- Only one code for a Hisuian Zoroark can be used in either the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. Upon purchase of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to the Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your code.
- The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the item in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.
Forms matter, too: alternate forms can have different stat lines. Serebii’s Electric-type listing is a secondary reference that includes per-stat information and alternate forms. Any ranking that includes special forms or other mechanics should state which ones count rather than quietly treating every form as interchangeable.
Quick Recap
How to use this ranking
- For a quick stat comparison: Miraidon is first in the cited Scarlet and Violet fully evolved Electric-type comparison, with 670 total base stats.
- For a battle decision: compare the relevant rules, matchup, stat distribution, ability, moves, and form instead of relying on the total alone.
- For competitive claims: look for evidence tied to a named format and time period; this comparison does not provide usage or win-rate data.
