This Ara-Kara, City of Echoes Mythic+ guide covers the three-boss dungeon’s route, the casts worth interrupting, and the mechanics most likely to put a key at risk. The route notes below are Method’s route for The War Within Season 3, not confirmation that Ara-Kara is in the active rotation on October 8, 2026.
Dungeon overview and Season 3 route context
Ara-Kara is in southern Azj-Kahet, Khaz Algar. The dungeon has three bosses; three mini-bosses in the opening area must be defeated to unlock Avanoxx. Method’s route is explicitly for The War Within Season 3, and Blizzard listed Ara-Kara in that season’s dungeon pool, which began August 12, 2025. Opening area: control the mini-bosses and dangerous casts
Prioritize casts that threaten group-wide damage or bring extra enemies into the fight. Trilling Attendants’ Resonant Barrage and Ixin’s Horrifying Shrill are high-value interrupts. Jabbing Flyers apply a stacking bleed, while Engorged Crawlers’ Venomous Spit calls for defensive or poison-removal tools when needed.
Ixin, Nakt, and Atik
- Ixin: Interrupt Horrifying Shrill and avoid the Web Spray frontal.
- Nakt: Prepare defensives for Call of the Brood.
- Atik: Move out of Poisonous Cloud and interrupt Poison Bolt when possible.

Avanoxx: kill the crawlers before they reach her
Avanoxx’s main group check is Alerting Shrill: use personal defensives and healing cooldowns to manage its repeated damage. Starved Crawlers fixate players, so slow or otherwise control them and kill them before they reach the boss. If she consumes nearby crawlers, she gains a stacking damage increase. Tanks should keep her away from the adds and use defensives for Voracious Bite.
During Gossamer Onslaught, avoid the web puddles and preserve usable floor space for the party. Keep moving with care rather than placing hazards where they will block the next safe path.

Route to Anub’zekt: reserve interrupts for the dangerous casts
Bloodstained Webmages’ Revolting Volley applies poison to the group, so assign interrupts to stop it; use spare kicks on Web Bolt. Avoid Hulking Bloodguards’ Impale and be ready for Locust Swarm damage. Interrupt Sentry Stagshells’ Alarm Shrill: it can alert nearby enemies and summon another Bloodguard.

Face Impale away from teammates. Infestation leaves a damage-over-time effect that creates Ceaseless Swarms when it expires. Affected players should use defensives as needed and choose a drop location that keeps the moving hazards out of teammates’ routes.
When Anub’zekt reaches 100 energy and casts Eye of the Swarm, stay in the safe area and adjust as the boss turns. Bloodstained Webmages can cast Silken Restraints; interrupt or control them, and bring them toward the boss for cleave when practical.

Route to Ki’katal: watch the volley and the carriers
Sidestep Blood Overseers’ Erupting Webs and interrupt Venom Volley. Be deliberate about how many Winged Carriers the party pulls together, since they attack players with Dashing Strike. Icy Veins notes that defeating Anub’zekt activates the second checkpoint.

Avoid Erupting Webs. Cultivated Poisons can be removed with a poison dispel, but each removal triggers dangerous poison waves. Coordinate dispels with the party’s positions and available space instead of removing the effect without regard for where the waves will travel.

Damage Bloodworkers until they drop Grasping Blood. When Singularity begins, use it to root yourself away from the dangerous area, or use an immunity. The root is breakable with crowd control. Tanks can position Black Blood near Ki’katal to help the party cleave it.
Optional Tailoring utility
Method says a Tailor with at least 25 Khaz Algar skill can interact with Discordant Attendant bodies. Breaking the tether grants a temporary action that applies Silk Wrap, which Method says stuns a target for 12 seconds and works on lieutenant mini-bosses. Icy Veins describes a 60-second buff and a 13-second stun instead; because the guides differ on the duration, check the in-game action tooltip rather than assuming one figure applies in every version.
