Is Nora a lawyer or a war veteran?
A Bethesda Creations listing for the mod “War Veteran Female Sole Survivor-Xbox”, credited to greentea101, says it changes conditions so the female Sole Survivor is addressed as a war veteran and alters other dialogue references. That documents a fan-made reinterpretation implemented by the mod. It does not establish that the unmodded game canonically makes Nora a veteran. The official pages cited here also do not settle a detailed account of her profession.
How the fixed family premise fits role-playing
Fallout 4 gives the Sole Survivor a defined family history, then places that character in a broader role-playing game about the Commonwealth.
