- Trained from early childhood and mutated to gain superhuman skills, strength, and reflexes, witchers are a counterbalance to the monster-infested world in which they live.
- Built for endless adventure, the massive open world of The Witcher sets new standards in terms of size, depth, and complexity.
- Take on the most important contract of your life: to track down the child of prophecy, the key to saving or destroying this world.
What changed in the remaster?
The update is not limited to a visual refresh. CD PROJEKT RED’s official feature descriptions include performance and visual improvements, combat and progression revisions, animation changes and cross-platform mod support. The publisher also lists PC path tracing and PS5 Pro support; those features are platform-specific, not a promise of identical results on every system. See the launch announcement.
The publisher’s August feature announcement also described improved traversal and movement, Witcher sign effects, mount handling and monster behavior, alongside a revamped skill tree, transmogrification, expanded photo mode and new finishers. These are publisher-described features, not independent performance measurements. CD PROJEKT RED’s August 25 announcement has the feature overview.

- Play as a highly trained monster slayer for hire.
- Built for endless adventure, the massive open world of The Witcher sets new standards in terms of size, depth and complexity.
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year edition brings together the base game and all the additional content released to date.
Before buying, check the local Amazon marketplace and confirm all of the following on the same listing:
- The price is live in your country and applies at checkout.
- The platform matches your console or PC storefront.
- The edition is the one you intend to buy and includes the content you expect.
- You are not paying for a new copy when your account already qualifies for a free upgrade.
Without a matching live listing, there is no substantiated Prime Big Deal Days price or saving to quote. Check the platform store as well as Amazon, and compare the exact edition rather than assuming a sale listing covers every version.
What else has CD PROJEKT RED announced?
CD PROJEKT RED announced Songs of the Past as a paid expansion planned for 2027, with a new region called Letten. The publisher lists PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 as planned platforms; this is an announced plan, not a product currently available to buy. The same August 25, 2026 announcement reports that The Witcher 3 has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide and received over 250 Game of the Year awards. Read the publisher’s announcement.
