Thrustmaster publishes durability figures for these parts: more than two million activations for the S5 mini-stick and more than five million for the D4XB D-pad. The company also says the controller’s NXG sticks provide 33% more physical resistance, 66% greater re-centering precision and 100% longer lifespan for built-in mini-stick buttons compared with previous Thrustmaster sticks. Who should buy it?
- Consider it if: you want to reposition or replace controls, use rear-button remapping, or value the option of buying compatible replacement modules.
